Nice. Those are some crisp looking figs. Articulation looks on point for the most part. 6 inch, not 7. Sculpts are bulky, paint is solid.
Seems this would be the logical DCUC replacement. |

Oh please tell me these won't be made of fairy dust DC.
Flash and Superman are amazing. The rest are meh. Batman would have been cool had it been his yellow insignia version.

Nice, but half of the costume choices they went with are too modern for my tastes and the rest aren't big enough improvements over Mattel's to get me to drop $25 on them. Still, if they do fit in with DCUCs size-wise, I may pick up any characters that weren't done in the DCUC line.

OK, I am an accessories kind of guy and the fact that Superman comes with Kelex and Flash has the Cosmic Treadmill are pretty fantastic.
These look pretty decent and I cant wait to see Lex in a normal sized armor, but I am still waiting on a Lex in a Business Suit. I really can not believe I am the only person that wants a Lex in a Suit?? |

Some really cool looking figures. I might get some of these. The Flash with his treadmil is definitely tempting, and that's got to be the best Superman sculpt I've seen in quite a while.
The Batman figure is really nice looking, but given the era he's from, which Batman is he. Is this still meant to be Bruce, or could this be meant to be Dick when he wore the cape and cowl?

When I first saw that we're getting a Blue Beetle figure in this Icons line, honestly, I was excitedly expecting a Ted Kord figure .
I just now realized that Jaime Reyes has been around for about 10 years now, but I still wouldn't consider him to be an "iconic" Beetle yet. Superman is tempting just for Kelex alone. Quote:
A few weeks ago, over in the DCU Classics thread, I was lamenting the absence of a DCUC figure of Lex in a suit.

It's hard to tell but from other sites the Ryan Choi Atom looks to have full articulation so I may grab just him to go with the rest of my 3.75 DC figures.
The rest are and easy pass for me. That Superman and GL look pretty cool though. And I'm pretty sure it's Bruce. The gloves don't look like the ones Dick wore as Batman. Last edited by snake5289; 02-12-2015 at 11:05 AM.. |

Eh I'd say it looks a little more modern era. Maybe around Hush-Batman R.I.P. or so. I don't know what years that would be from.

Either way it's still a great looking Batman figure. Since these are said to be 6" scaled, rather than the usual 7" scale, I might get him to go with my small collection of Mattel figures this size. I wonder if DCC will have anu new52/new comic figures to reveal. A new Deathstroke would be great. I'm not sure they would have anything ready to show yet, but there are some designs from the new titles coming in June I would love to see them do. Especially Black Canary and Bat-Mite.

That Batman looks Hush-ish to me. I am ok with showing some love to the older looks, but I do prefer the new underwear-less versions when available. Anything that didn't have them pre-new52 anyway, I'm game.
Down with that lex too, wish the purple was a little darker. |

Yeah, After looking he does seem a little more Hush era looking. I never have read any of the Dickbats era, I dislike Frank Quitely's art, I hate Damian, I hate him as Robin, so I have avoided almost all issues with him and cheered at his death, only to have him resurrected with super powers now.

OK about time DCC does a decent DCUC replacement. I'll go for Atomica

Me either but I've seen enough art to know the small differences in his batsuit.

These are all pretty foolish figures, I'd definitely start collecting these rather than ebaying DCUC to get a decent DC lineup. I only caught towards the end of the line with a few MattyCollector figures. These russle my jimmies to be sure. Really like that Batman. Hope this line grows.

I like the female Atom. The joint cuts in her torso are much less distracting than those in the male figures, and her legs look more natural.
Many years ago I read a comic where Ray Palmer in his Silver Age costume was mistaken for an Atom action figure by a child who proceeded to thrash him and generally treat him like one of the other figures in his collection. Considering the lousy attention to detail of toys in the 70s, I remember thinking that the other figures would have to be very realistic for the real thing to be so mistaken, and consequently thought how neat it would be to have a lifelike action figure of the Silver Age Atom at 6" scale. Surprisingly, to the best of my knowledge, it's never been done. If this new female figure was to be followed by a male counterpart with realistic body proportions, and similar minimization of joint cuts, I'd jump on it. |

Definitely snagging the Hal figure. Not super excited for the whole lantern armor thing they have going on but it is not a deal breaker. For once though, I would LOVE a non-Hal GL figure. I know, wishful thinking.
Black Adam and Deadman look awesome! |
