I personally love this line.

Hush, Batman, Hawkman and Green Arrow are superb figures and I enjoy the fact that we can see secondary characters here that wouldn't cut it in the 6" line.

These figures have gotten me curious about other characters I knew nothing about, which led to the purchase of trades, comics etc so it's doing its job.

Keep it up Mattel!

I like them quite a bit, but I don't want to start another toyline. The way things are economically, I don't need to spend any more money than I am.

I like them, but the first wave is still sitting on shelves and finding new ones is almost next to impossible except on the net.

Only missing a few right now, gotham 6 pack, luthor 3 pack, and the question variant.
Waiting for my metropolis 10 pack to arrive as well as the hawkman 3 pack.

I've heard a bit of buzz about this line. What is it, exactly? Smaller figures I'm guessing, but how small? Anyone got some pictures?

The line is 3 3/4" based on the DC world. The articulation is less and the sculpts are limited due to the size but thus far the product is pretty good IMHO.

I'll try to post some pics...so far I have:

Hush
Batwoman
The Question regular & variant
Green Lantern, Black Canary & Green Arrow 3 pack
Hawkman 3 pack
Flash, Mirror Master Weather Wizard 3 pk
Commissioner Gordon and guards 3 pk
Batman
Zoom
Atom
Superman 3 pk

I don't have any use for em myself, Joes, Marvel Universe and even Marvel Showdown are better articulated and sculpted better as well.

Yeah they aren't very good. The quality control on their paint apps is almost non-existant. Lately new 3 packs have begun to trickle into Targets here.
I saw the Wonder Girl/Superman/Supergirl pack. Wonder Girl's golden eagle logo was just a big spot of gold. It looked like a 3 year old painted it on.

Mattel has hinted at more articulation next year in a Q&A I read on Fwoosh. They will need it to even compete with the Marvel Universe figures.
They really should have been smaller versions of their DCUC line.

I sorta like them, I have:
The Question
Hush
Jim Gordon and GCPD 3 pack

The problems I have with this line far outweighs the praise I can give for it though. The GCPD Swat members are really bad sculpts, all female characters can't bend their elbows and the biggest issue I have with them is the marketing. I can't for the life of me figure out why Mattel decided to flood the market with lesser known characters that the average, non DC fan knows nothing about.

Add all this with the fact that the 3 packs just jumped from $9.99 to $16.99 makes me pass on most of these. I still want to get a Batman (You'd think I could find such a well known character like Batman) I saw the Hawkman and Green Lantern/ Green Arrow 3 packs and liked some of the figures but the $16.99 price tag turned me off from them

I am refraining from buying more until I see pictures of the new figures with added articulation. I have the Flash 3 pack, I think it is decent. The character selection is great, however I am older now, and while I can appreciate the selection, as I got older I craved more articulation. Not too much, but an ample amount. If these figures were as articulated as fully articulated Star Wars figures, then I would have more. Better yet, like Mezco's Hellboy II figures in the same scale. After flipping through a Playstation Magazine with a spotlight on the upcoming DC Universe MMORPG that Jim Lee/Wildstorm are doing concept art/designs for, it was very obvious to me that the concept art is what these figure designs are based off of. The increase in price for the three packs was surprising to me too.

I see a lot of potential in this line, it has to be used up to compete with Hasbro's Marvel Universe line next year.

That is only at Target.
Toys R Us has them for $12.99 which is surprising since toys usually are more expensive there. $6.99 for singles
KMart & Meijer are the only other places I've seen them. I have no more KB Toys so I don't know how much they would be there.

I have yet to see any of the single-packed figures in person, and Wal-Mart doesn't even carry the three-packs yet. However, I have been told by reliable sources (...my younger brother) that K-Mart finally got the singles in. He bought Marvel and Adam, and claimed that Black Adam is pure love. "Shazam!," he thought, suffered due to the addition of the cape, so he probably won't buy any others after he gets Zoom. Too fast for him to find, I guess, heh.

I have a feeling the articulation is the way it is for two reasons. One, Hasbro didn't have news of their 3 3/4" Marvel line until much later, and we're not even getting them until next year. And two, I think Mattel reasoned that the line would actually be an extension and growth from their JLU line, but with the comic-book style and a wider range of characters that never appeared in the series.

Seeing as I don't own any of these yet, I've made no judgment call on them. If Mattel gets their act together on the articulation front, I think there will be plenty of room for 3 3/4" Marvel and DC alike. In the meantime, it's a good thing Mattel released theirs first!

They kind of remind me of the old Kenner Super Powers toys from the 80s. That Zoom in particular brings back memories of my old Kenner Flash. Pretty nice. Might pick a couple up if they come out in my neck of the woods, if some of my favourite characters get the figure treatment.

Yet another line for me to watch out for, especially for the Joker and other part-time guests of Arkham (I love Batman's rogues gallery).

I wonder how well these will stack up against the new Marvel 3 3/4" line coming out.

They should stack up nicely, especially when Mattel adds the new articulation that was promised for 2009.

Modern Robin is coming in a upcoming Teen Titans 6 pack. Nightwing will be available in spring as well, in addition to the Joker.

The main points of articulation said to be added were wrists, ankles, and I think ball jointed elbows/knees. To completely go toe to toe with Hasbro's Marvel Universe line, there needs to be at least double jointed knees, and ball jointed hips.

I was wondering if they would have Marvel Legends-style articulation, although ball-jointed knees seems like a quick way to put in a thigh swivel and regular knee joint without actually doing it.

If they keep the qualtity like this or better, they could have a nice line going forward.

Some new pics...

Those Toys R Us exclusive 6+ packs are highway robbery!

Both Meijer & Target have them on sale this week.
Target:
singles = $3.99
3 packs = $13.99
(TRU $12.99)

Meijer:
singles = $4.88
3 packs = $12.88

I got Black Adam at Meijer. They also were the ones with the newest wave. Manhunter robots & Qwardian soldiers were available.

I agree that the 6 packs are way too expensive. I would love to have the Green Lantern one, but it's just way too expensive.

Yeah, I simply don't understand how ball hips aren't standard for *every* action figure all the time. It's a fundamental joint required for effective body language, yet a lot of companies think it's sacrificable in favor of a mid-calf swivel joint that doesn't even exist in the human body.

It is definitely important for action figure lines based on comic books, as even Mezco has that kind of articulation on their joe scale Hellboy II figures, and I imagine their Heroes figures will follow suit. I'll definitely start buying more Infinite Heroes figures if the size is slightly increased and the following articulation is implemented next year:

-ball joint head
-ball joint elbow
-ball joint ab
-waist swivel
-wrist swivels
-ball joint hips(or universal hip joints like those used on the super articulated 6" figures by the 4H for Mattel)
-either pin knees, ball joint, or double jointed knees
-ball ankles

I imagine the price will be increased by a few dollars, but so long as the price does not go beyond $7 I will pick some up. The line that IH is competing with directly is Marvel Universe and so far Marvel Universe features figures with much more articulation.

I was trying to avoid this line(which isn't hard since around here they're few and far between) but if I ever see Nightwing then that's a gotta have. Maybe the Teen Titans pack just for Arsenal.
I did pick up the 3 pack with Starfire, Raven and Captain Idiot(Boomerang, sorry). I want the one with the Green Arrow, Black Canary and Green Lantern but doubt if that'll ever hit shelves near me.

I would be all over this line if it was as articulated as it's Marvel counterpart. I got the Superman three pack but am still very disappointed.
