Has anyone else picked this up yet? Just picked it up during lunch and I have to say it's pretty good. It actually had me laughing literary out loud a few times. The humor between Batman and Green Lantern had me cracking up.

I actually haven't yet. I think I might today, or at least very soon. I'm more looking forward to Superman #1 though. I have lost all Interest in Batman with this reboot, which saddens me. Green Lantern will be cool along with Wonder Woman. Mmmmmm Wonder Woman...

Picked it up at midnight and read through it already. It's just okay I guess. I liked it better when Hal & Bruce use to but heads. This friendly like atmosphere is just odd.

It's not THAT weird. What would be weird is if it was Guy Gardner getting along with Bats...thats scary.

I suppose the set up thus far is nice but wish it wasn't so focused on Bats & GL still. |

Same here. Still it's just the first issue. I'll read a couple of more before I make a sound decision on the series.

Well, Superman is still Superboy right? I just don't see how a Justice League #1 will work without estabishing the rebooted character.

Yeah, I'll keep on reading the series (at least the first arc) before I draw my own conclusions.
Still can't believe my comic shop was selling the B&W cover one for $200. In all honesty I'm fine with just the normal cover for this after reading it. |

I've picked them up but only casually flipped through. I'll let you know what I think.

Also, I am ridiculously excited for JLI and Animal Man, on the subject of the reboot. All subscribed n junk. |

I went to a midnight release party for this, which was really more enjoyable than I thought. I won the two variant covers for free, they gave away a lot of prizes and a really good prize for someone who could name all 52 titles, i named 34 lol
They gave away a lot of good stuff like action figures, shirts, posters, comics, trades. |

The concept of the reboot doesn't bother me nearly as badly as it does a lot of people. But it does upset me that a lot of the characters I care about are getting replaced with the originals.
That would bother me less if they basically shifted over, with this new universe being simular but streamlined. Barbara Gordan still got shot by Joker, still became Oracle (Where she is faaaar more awesome). Dick still grew up and became Nightwing. Tim still came along and became robin. Things that weren't broken didn't need to be messed with. Meanwhile, you're free to fix the characters that have been really messed up and become so convoluted, like Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, Powergirl. I'm interested in reading these. But I'll wait until they hit the trades.

Just read the last issue of Flashpoint and the first issue of this today at Hastings and I loved them both. The explanation for the new reboot DCU given in Flashpoint was not too silly, and the scenes with Barry and his mom and Batman and the letter from his dad tugged at my heartstrings a lil' bit. ;')
And as for the Reboot, I'm actually excited to get a fresh start/jumping on point for all the DC characters whose stories I'd never gotten into (i.e. Flash, Teen Titans, Nightwing)

We just read it and we liked it, we will probably pick up some of the series that we normally wouldn't(Superman) because its a new beginning.
We kind of like this new 52 series thing, especially since we didn't read that much DC in the first place. We do however think its ridiculous that they are releasing all 52 series in 1 month, next Wednesday starts 13 new series. And for those who don't know, Flashpoint is responsible for this 52 new series thing. We don't know how because we stopped reading flash just before flashpoint because of flashpoints 30 tie in mini series. We think we'll read Justice League Superman Batman(we dont know which series yet) Static Shock Teen Titans maybe others |

I picked this up with the lowest of expectations, who knows maybe that's why I enjoyed it so much. Hal's almost too egostical boasting put me off a little but I guess it fits in with what they're trying to do, new costumes, new attitudes, and new universe. Jim Lee can do no wrong when it comes to penciling a book. I read a preview of Action Comics # 1 not too keen on the Superman is a jerk angle Morrison is going with. The Batman titles are what I'm looking forward to the most because Morrison is a little more removed from that character so hopefully we'll actually get some new stories rather than convoluted poorly told silver age redos.
