I just got Mattel'd!!!!
I was getting some more figures together to take pictures for ebay and was all like, "Nope, I'm keeping Jonah Hex." I picked him up to grab Phantom Strange and the god damn lower half fell off. The plastic that was holding the two together is all brittle and started to crumble a bit when I touched it. WTF????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have idea how that happened or anything as the last time I touched him he was fine.
On the other hand, it made my decision to put all of my remaining DCU figures that aren't the New Gods (and a few business suited characters for cannon fodder) up on ebay.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about Hex going like that. Bummer.
Nice comparison shots of Joker there. The DCUC o e still holds up pretty well I think. I dig his old school head sculpt look.

I love the 40s Mattel Joker until you get to his eyes as he is always looking down.

I think I am still waiting for that definitive Joker figure to be released. Hopefully Icons will improve over time and take another crack at him. I'd love to get a fully articulated and nice representation of the character based on a more comic book look.

I doubt Icons will never do Joker again. Hell, I bet over the next two years we get at least three more variations be it in a box set, a repaint, or another iteration.

My definitive Joker that I use in my Collection is the DC Direct Arkham City Joker. Real Scary Looking Great Detail.

Don't crush my dreams about another Icons Joker....
I never got into the Arkham series of figures.I guess I just wanted more articulation out of things. But some of those figures did indeed look really cool. The Arkham Asylum Joker headsculpt I thought was pretty wonderful.

Ah, lol. I thought you were suggesting we would just see repaints of the same Joker re packed for a while. Which I would consider not great news. If we see some actual effort in creating new versions of the Joker I would think that would be good news. I'm not as familiar with how DCC does things, so I'm hoping we see some sculpts and such.

You know what I'd like to see done in a DCUC or Icons figure?
Hell, I'd actually take a Mezco One:12 version! |

That WW collection is amazing! I had my eye on the cloak-wearing Infinite Crisis Series 2 (2007) version, but missed it at retail. Wonder Girl and Troia were also favorites from that line.
What is the series for that WW standing 4th from left in image 3, with fabric 'mini-skirt?' She doesn't appear to have any knee joints, but it seems like a very nice sculpt. Quote:
Ditto re: Superwoman. Great figure (no pun intended). Last edited by Skoob; 10-21-2016 at 06:35 PM.. |
