While this wave is really cool, it was also suggested to be fake on one of the major facebook pages which generally has a good idea of what's going on.
https://www.facebook.com/savedcuc/?ref=br_rs They do hint however that there might be some truth it in. Hopefully it's the Batman Beyond because Batman Beyond needs more merchandise. The two pack last year was cool and I do love the DC Total Heros figure, but he just seems so fitting for the multiverse line.

While I would be interested in Kyle and Beyond, I'm not sure I will bother since Mattel can't even give their "Premium" line modern articulation. I'm definitely curious though.

It's actually amazing to me how few figures Batman Beyond really has considering how popular the TV show was and how popular the comic still is.

Recently started collecting DC mainly movie and TV style characters but curious what a good 6 inch line would be for more classic comic/cartoon style characters. I've looked at Classics,Icons, and, a few others but would like some input from fellow collectors.

Just got the new DC Multiverse Signature 90's TV Flash and Val Kilmer Batman. I'm thrilled to finally have a John Wesley Shipp Flash after all these years. The likeness is pretty good and his paint is solid. The Batman figure has a lot of problems though. The headsculpt is odd and the exposed part of his face is painted poorly. I'll have to try to fix it myself. The cape totally sucks. I actually dragged out the iron to try straightening it out and it just curls right back up. There's a couple of stray globs of glue on his chest too but that wouldn't be a problem with all of them. These figures are both in desperate need of ankle rockers.
I think the packaging looks nice but I wish Mattel would put more effort into the figures themselves instead of wasting so much time on boxes that just end up in the trash anyway. I actually think the display bases are pretty nifty, but the cardboard backdrops are useless to me. The bases also serve as containers for all the spare pegs, flight stand and alternate hands. |

thanks chief!!!
THAT particular pic of Batman makes his armor look cool (though it could be the lighting) but it's like the head doens't match the same cool factor. i really need to see both of these in person.

DCUC by the 4 horsemen is the definitive 6' line for classic/modern DC comic characters imo. That they did an entire boxset of the LOSH is an amazing feat that no other toy company has yet to attempt to do. DCUC also did a fantastic job of completing a ton of different DC teams as well. Who woulda thought you'd get all the members of the Metal men as action figures. Closest another toy company has come to doing a 6' line of team members in a boxset has been the classic comic based GOTG boxset but that was only 5 figs, LOSH was 12 team members I believe. I really would like to see Hasbro attempt this with either a classic Avengers box set consisting of: Thor Ironman Vision Beast Hawkeye Scarlet witch Yellowjacket 1st/2nd app Wonderman Wasp Swordsman Quicksilver Hercules |

Big Bad Toy Store. I probably would have passed on the Batman, but my the time I noticed they had them for pre-order, the individual Flash figures were sold out and the only way to get him was to buy a set.
I think the main reason why the head looks funny on Batman is because they gave him a neck joint. Up until The Dark Knight, none of the live action movie batsuits had a separation between the head and neck. |

Bought my fist DCUC figs in months recently!
DCUC 20 Sinestro - so nice to finally have a correctly sized Sinestro to fight Green Lantern (never understood why they made the original version on the small buck!) Cassie Wonder Girl - Always nice to have a new Wonder Woman character in the line, plus with Dr Psycho as a BAF it will be good to have another WW rogue to join Ares and Cheetah I & II to fight our favorite Amazon! Has there been any news since this was posted on which (if any) of these figures are being released? Or will we have to wait for toy fair or something similar? I'm a huge Batman Beyond fan and love the DCUC wave 4 version, however the shininess of the figure (coupled with the lack of wings) always bugged me, if this new version had a more matte like paint it would be perfect! |
