Picked up the Walmart DKR Supes because I was interested in the use of the MOTUC body, and man, he requires extensive modding to be able to make his articulation even remotely usable. The big vinyl trunks hinder his hip ROM drastically, and his ankle rocker joints are almost entirely useless (and in fact glued solid on one of my ankle). Also, no upward head movement for a flying character? Woyld not recommend this figure for anyone not up to working on their figures. He's more or less old school DC Direct level articulation unless he's modded.

I would not compare it to DC Direct even a little. My only issue with the articulation is the head not being able to look up, but that's not a huge deal breaker for me. I have no real problems with mine, and in fact feel like it is one of my favorite 6 inch Superman (probably second place). Make sure that you look for the black display in the isle. |

I've seen them at a few Walmarts now, always in a special cardboard display instead of the toy aisles proper. I already had their previous black Mattel version of the Dark Knight Returns Batman, and don't want Superman or the Son.

I respect your assessment, but feel that it is pretty extreme.

I was grocery shopping today and Meijers has gotten BvS in; saw Movie Masters Wonder Woman for the first time ever and they had two. Looked at them, did some thinking, then decided to purchase the better one.
Not bad, not bad at all. The articulation isn't great, but it's far from terrible, I got one with some good paint apps. I was more surprised to compare her to the DCUC Wonder Woman to find that the movie version is just a hair shorter, she seemed bigger. However, her more solid proportions is what I was after for a Wonder Woman figure. She's well on her way to becoming my default WW. My only complaint is that shield for whatever reason just doesn't want to get held, maneuvering the grip and getting the hand to hold it doesn't seem to want to happen. I'd also have loved ankle rockers, but when don't I? I'd love to see any headswaps anyone does with her, probably the DCUC would look best. |

If you want a DCU one though, go with the Wave 1 Batman. It's based on the Neal Adams design, which is the greatest Batman design ever.

Be careful of the ICONS line as they are not to scale with the dcuc line. They are short.

The DCU All Stars Batman (2012 Darker Grey Color) I pictured for you is the Wave 1 as Kain was stating but Black instead of Blue.

I was thinking of that one just cuz I really like the Flash figure from the line (pictured in the background). Those DC Icons are great figures. I may go w/the DCUC one I just posted. Just didn't wanna crack it open, lol! Oh well... Thanks for the input! |

That TRU exclusive is the best one in DCUC and worth a pretty penny!

Yup. I got that one years ago at TRU before it was a big hit on price. Same with All Stars Batman.

Just be careful about the New DC Icons as they are shorter than the DCUC Figures.

Since ya'll where so helpful with my Batman question... Heres two more....
1) Which Green Arrow Figure is one of ya'lls favorite (I am about to go and pick up the latest DC Icons from my local comic book store. I won their monthly raffle prize and I get to choose an item up to 19.95, I will obviously be paying the difference since they go for about 24 and some change) 2) Which AquaMan figure should I go w/ as well since Im assembling my JLA? Remember, picts help. Thanks again gents! |
