I jsut picked them up today, so if you're looking for Blue Mer-Man, they should be out any day.

How much were they? I like Hawkman but don't care about Stratos and I like Mer-Man but don't care about Aquaman. Go figure.

Last I saw at TRU, they were $30 each. But that was for wave 1. Haven't seen wave 2 yet.

WHEN did these come out?! I JUST found them last week. Glad I bought them. What sucks is that my Stratos is so loose and floppy and I think he's right leg is longer than the left leg. AND I think the biceps to my Aquaman are swapped.

Based on the sightings, around November of last year. Though their distribution was spotty, IIRC. Wave one was everywhere, but this wave seemed to pop up randomly, even when there wasn't wave 1 shelf-warming.
I distinctly remember only one of the two TRU in my area got these in. But it could simply be that other collectors in the area got to them first. Sucks to hear about your Stratos. If both toys have problems, you could try to return them as defective and see if you can get an exchange.

They hit PA about a month or two ago. I was lucky enough to get both sets when they were on sale for $20 each, which I'm sure will be a sale again at some point in the next couple of months.

I work at TRU and I never saw them. But that could be because we have too FULL facings of Skeletor/Lex just sitting there collecting dust. Even when the sale was on, we might have sold one. :/

I see sh|t tons of the Skeletor / Lex 2-Pack (literally at least 50 or 60 all told at local TRUs) but have yet to see any of the other pairings.

That's too bad. Did you get your money back, or did you hang on to them in case they got more in?

I've seen the HM/STRATOS, AM/MM, & LL/SKELETOR at TRU but that's about it. And yes the LL/SKELETOR are shelve warmers for sure!!

I can't wait for the Zodac vs. Green Lantern pack. It'll be the first purchase for me from this line.

I've seen the 4 that are out now, but I'd like to know what's coming down the pipeline - I could avoid spending a fortune on singles maybe. Like - might we get a Wonder Woman vs Evil Lynn or something? Maybe Batman vs Triclops? Plastic Man vs Mechanek? :P Inquiring minds want to know!

Where can I find more info on these? Is there an "upcoming" list somewhere?

Upcoming is supposed to be a Zodac/Green Lantern pack and a She-Ra/Supergirl pack. These were shown at Toy Fair and were advertised there as coming out in Summer 2011. Also just announced is a Bizarro/Faker pack, which will be available at San Diego Comic Con and online starting at the same time as SDCC.

I got both of these and the Lex Luthor vs Skeletor and I must say I reaaaaaaaally love them. It's the best Lex I've seen, and the only one I own.
And ya know, even though I know DCD makes some awesome Hawk and Aquaman figures -- my inner-kid enjoys the sculpts of these figures better. The packaging is very eye catching too. Just wish the Faker two pack wasn't an exclusive. I want Trapjaw in a twopack!!! |
