I'm excited about Batman Beyond, but the thing that makes this announcement for me is the Legends of the Dark Knight pack. I was 13 when that episode aired and it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. It made me hunt down the DKR TPB and read it for the first time.

the superman animated series should get a line but batman has appeared in superman's show hes been in the show 3 times !
I know these are crossovers but so is supergirl ! The only difference is that The Girls Night out was listed under The New Batman Animated Series -Knight Time -Worlds Finest pt 1 , pt 2 & pt3 Or The superman batman movie -The Demon Reborn It's Over Due , plus they have a batman beyond pack , which i would be more than happy if they gave us a superman 3 pack with batman and maybe lex or lex's mech machine Also will fit nicely with the Batman V Superman Theme Last edited by warmachine6; 02-11-2016 at 09:08 AM.. |

It's nice to see them starting to expand the line. The Batman Beyond set is going to be hard to pass-up. Though I kinda want to wait to see if they do any others to go with them.
I'm kinda surprised to see them making figures based on the TDKR part of Tales of the Dark Knight. I almost jokingly suggested it as an idea of something they should do months ago. Not sure I'll get the set, but I like that they're doing it. I also really like that they're doing the TNBA version of the Joker. If I get a Joker from this line, that'll be the one I get. The Batwing is definitely a surprise, but I'm honestly more surprised about it's price. Given it's size, I would have guessed it would be somewhere between $150-200. Geting that thing for the same price as the Batmobile is a steal. The Girls Night Out set is kinda tempting, even though I prefer Ivy's TAS design. Hopefully Livewire and Supergirl come out on their own eventually, so the people who already own Ivy, Batgirl, and Harley aren't screwed over. As far as I know there's no reason they can't make STAS figures, they just haven't announced any yet. I'll be surprised if they don't eventually do at least a couple from the show. If nobody else they should at least do Superman and Lex.

It almost appears as if that Scarface and Ventriloquist could be used in a DC Universe Classics display.

yes yes exciting selections. really excited for bullock, talia, and fire-proof bats, BUT concerning the price increase to $28 and the repacking of 3 released figures with 2 exclusives (like phantasm 2 pack) is not a trend DC animation fans should support (unless DC specifies they'll be available later). the paint slop and lack of alternate heads on the current line is not worth another $3-$5.
also dissapointed in Clayface's head sculpt. wish they would let another sculptor take a crack at it. the unreleased four horseman clayface from ten years ago was amazing and dead on: |

WHY?! The original Joker is easily one of the best figures in the line and he has a better design than this Animaniac thing. To be fair the only things that puts me off from his TNBA design is the oversimplification of his head. His eyes are shark-like for some reason but more importantly (and almost offensively to me) his mouth is just a line with absolutely no red. The red lips are one of Joker's main things and they tossed it for that design, like he's only three-fourths of a Joker anymore.

What is articulation and durability like for these figures? Love the animated series but grow concerned when it comes to DCC.

Only the first four in the line showed serious durability issues (TNBA Batman, TAS Catwoman, TNBA Two-Face, and TNBA Mr. Freeze) and since then I'm actually super-impressed with how well DCC has fixed that issue, though I'm sure some QC hiccups will still come through what with nobody being perfect and all. Generally speaking the articulation is fairly standard. They usually have a ball-joint neck, ball-hinge shoulders and elbows, at least swivel wrists but sometimes they also hinge, swivel waist, H-crotch pieces (front and back as well as outward movement), single hinge knees, and at least a swivel for the ankle but some also have ankle-rockers and a hinge.
