Ouch. Those Aquaman figs look every bit as terrible as the Justice League War ones. I know they're a bit cheaper than regular DCC releases, but they're much worse figures because of that decreased price point.

I actually really like the look of the animated figures. They carry the aesthetic of the animation nicely. Something about Aquaman's headsculpt bothers me, something about his hair looks odd to me, but otherwise I like the look of him. I'm really looking forward to the movie these are based on.
With these already being shown off, I doubt they'll be doing any Assault on Arkham figures. I was kinda hoping we'd at least get a Harley figure from it.

People see them with their slightly more limited articulation and features, on the same shelf next to the older DCC Justice League figures, and there's a clear difference in quality. They capture the aesthetic fine but they aren't really worth $20 a pop. But the prototypes for them always look great.

Speaking as a retailer the lower price point War figures just haven't been selling. Which I can only really attribute to them having such generic bodies that are only separated by paint apps rather than unique molding.

There are a lot of DCC figures I would like to have, but I don't quite know where to begin. I also don't want to have just a huge jumble of a collection with no rhyme or reason to it. Anyways, if I get just one of these Aquaman figures, it'll probably be Black Manta or Mera. Manta's suit kinda reminds me of how he looked in Young Justice, but I also really like how Mera's costume is a bit of a departure for her. Ar least from the comics I've been reading.

I'll get the Mera Cosplaying as Chun-Li figure since I don't have a Mera in my collection, but the designs overall look subpar.

*Sighs*
Was I the only one that upon seeing Animated Aquaman listed, hoped it would be Brave and the Bold Aquaman? That's my favorite one. XD |

I like that Manta. I've yet to pick up a version of him. Maybe this will be the one.
I've been meaning to get over to the comic shop to check these out, so I haven't seen them in person. My shop has them for $16, which is a really nice price and makes it easier to take one home with me for closer inspection. We'll see. |

Pretty sure they made a BatB Aquaman. I HIGHLY doubt you will see any DCD figure for BatB since the toy license was already used when the show was on. If I remember the toys were pretty basic. They seem to really only focus on current or upcoming figures for DCD (with the Batman animated series being an exception. But really , who does not want those) . I fear I will never get a classic Doomsday.

Yikes. WTH is up with that Superman statue? Is he staring in a musical revival now? That is an awful pose for anything other than satire.

I thought they did a Doomsday figure in this style? Or was that just in DC Universe Classics and DCD are vastly different? |

Finally saw a Justice League Flash in person yesterday. I actually thought it looked good, but there was some type of white stuff around the shoulder.
I'm still thinking of getting the set of Aquaman figs, or at least Ocean Master and Manta. |
