Superman's arms are just weird...they almost come to his knees. Same with Darkseid. The proportions just seem all over the place. That huge chest with the tiny tiny waist and then huge legs makes no sense. The hands and head seem out of scale with everything too. What a shame because I definitely think this Darkseid headsculpt is far superior to the DC Direct $80 figure. |

These sculps and their proportions due seem odd with how off they are. Darkseid's hands are almost as big as his waist. Those shoulder pads are hugs, and his head seems odd. Aquaman is top heavy with shoulders and a head that appear too big as well. And Superman's upper arms nearly extend beyond the waistline. Proportion problems galore with this series. Disappointing.

Ouch. These make those $20 Outerworld Realm figures look really nice.

Superman is a pass, but I want to give Aquaman and Darkseid a chance, since I really enjoy them as rebooted characters in New 52.

Superman looks really weird. But then I really don't like the Injustice designs. I don't think Darkseid looks as off as everyone else says. And I'm really glad to see that he's a large figure. That's really new for Mattel. They've never done a non-BaF that was larger than a normal DCUC. Aquaman's head looks too small though.

Seriously weak sauce. I keep hoping these are not official prototypes. That Darkseid is a joke. The two Injustice figures I have seen so far are definitely not my style. :/ Aquaman might find its way into my collection, but I wouldn't be likely to pay full retail for that version of him. I like his spear more than the one that came with the DCUC version. |

I think the big issue with Superman is that his head is freakishly tiny, so it makes his arms look disproportionately long. Seriously, his head is as small as one of his hands.

Just saw a better pic of Darkseid. He looks a lot better/proportionate. Better yet is his new sculpt arms and hands. I wonder what MOTUC figure can or will be made with them. I have the DC CNC Darkseid but if I see this at retail I will def pick it up.

Darkseid. . .slim waist, big shoulder pads. . .looks like he's in drag going to an '80s prom. Yick! Aquaman. . .big chest, little head, and he's got "love pockets" where the rest of us have "love handles" --weird. Superman. . .just not my style.

I'm really digging the new costumes, but I wish they were in the 4 inch scale instead. Might pick up Darkseid just because he can be massive, but the others I'll pass on for now. They do look awesome though if albeit maybe not assembled too well yet. |

Wow, Mattel is cranking up the stupid, aren't they? Did they run out of money while sculpting Darkseid? First off, they painted his boots on. LAME!!! Secondly, since when does Darkseid have waist curves? Did he go on the Atkins Diet? Third, those proportions look horribly off. And what is up with that Aquaman? It looks like the same figure I have had for a few years, just with the new collar and belt. As for Superman, uh... not only is he unneeded (there are other characters to cover), but he looks like he got hit with the GL movie costume.

When it comes to the gaps, and the "ruined" pieces, I think everyone is ignoring the fact that these are hand painted greyscale prototypes. If not outright photoshopped greyscales. They are not the final product. This is nothing new.

Yeah, we've said that before when it came to something from Mattel, and it did turn out to be the way it looked.

Now you're just being silly. They have never released a superman with an arm half hanging off, or a toy with paint scraped off revealing a greyscale prototype underneath, and they're not going to start now. This is nothing new.

Whoa. I can tell that Superman is early but WOW...that does not look good so far. I know Mattel said that the 4H were sculpting these but that Superman really has me second guessing what they said. That looks more like an in-house Mattel sculpt than 4H. The Batman looked awesome but Supes....wow...
