The Deadpool vs. Taskmaster set brought me my first repaint (of a figure I actually have the original of), so I thought I'd over-analyze them to see which of the two gets a spot on my MU shelf.
Accessories- XMO: gray harness, two swords, hand gun, machine gun, sai Comic Pack: brown harness, two swords, hand gun, knife Right off the bat you'll notice that the XMO version is a deeper red than the Comic Pack version. Well, maybe it's not the most obvious in pictures, but the Comic Pack version is more of a fire engine red while the XMO version is a much darker red. Another obvious difference is the harness. XMO has the larger gray harness while the Comic Pack version has a smaller brown two-piece harness (chest/sword harness & separate utility belt). There are two mold/sculpt differences (that I noticed). The right hand of the Comic Pack version has an extended pinky, but the bigger difference is the heads. At a glance I just thought the eyes were painted on differently, but it's actually a completely different head. A few paint differences I've noticed are the black is missing on the Comic Pack version's upper legs, but it does have some black on the outside of the hands, and toes, and on the wrist bands that the XMO version does not have. The Comic Pack's version has brown boot straps while XMO's are black. One nice touch on the Comic Pack's version is that the buckles on the foot and neck straps are painted gray/silver where the XMO version is the same color as the strap itself. Also, the shades of brown on the gun holster is a little different between the two, but there's no more or less detailing there.

I also believe the left hand is different.
Look at the thumb & index finger. |

Thanks for posting this. I was planning on doing the same thing.
So which did you decide on? |

..it's a minor detail, but one of the only things holding me back is I like how the Comic version's strap buckles are painted silver.

I've swapped the heads on mine. Comic pack body and Origins head. It just looks right.
The differences between these two are suptle but telling. The comic pack figure is much better, even though there's not much in it. |
