Basically, the idea of this thread is to discuss the various methods and practices our favorite toy makers use to get their stuff into our hands. And along the way, hopefully we will provide a central resource for the separation of fact and fiction.
I also hope this will keep future debates about this topic out of all the other threads. Please keep things civil and follow all the Forum Rules. Also, please check out this thread for a crash course to prep you for the following discourse.
