when I had a marvel legends collection, which I sadly had to sell completely during a tough financial time for me, one of the things I did was I had the deceased characters on a special shelf. I follow the comics big time so for a time I had phoenix, xavier during that brief month after messiah complex, banshee, steve rogers, abomination, Captain Marvel, ect ect ect, sharing shelf space
now that I hear a character is gonna bite it in Fear Itself(Which I was hoping for a marvel event where a hero doesnt die for once), I'm thinking of resurecting this practice with a new shelf for MU. Adorning this thing would be Sabretooth, Wasp Mini Fig, Black Goliath, Cable, Phoenix, Capt Marvel, Doc Samson, Red Skull, Human Torch, Bullseye, Nightcrawler, and a Multiple Man Army Builder. and I was wondering if any of you have a special place where you put deceased characters? maybe in memorium if your a diehard comic nerd such as I |

I bury them in the backyard. But when they come back to life, like they all do eventually, it's a bitch trying to remember where each one is..

Hahaha thats kind of a cool idea!!!!!
What would be also kind of cool is to like..make predictions and have a line up...and every comic you read you hone your guess down a few figures..and see if you were right. Kinda like a sports bracket.. |

Ok, so I am somewhat guilty of comic -> toy manipulation. Last week after reading the new Avengers (and being a huge iron man fan) I immediately tried to put thanos's infinity gauntlet hand on the bleeding edge iron man figure.. but.. it obviously did not work.
And even though Stark is now the first human in history to wear the infinity gauntlet.. I'm still torn as to whether I want my geek side to jump up and down or my practical side to say.. that was pretty cheesy. |

Sad to say he has not. I'm a pretty avid marvel reader and he has never worn it in mainstream books and definitely did not in the Illuminati series. Stark was indeed the first human to wear it, which is.. baffling, but awesome, but.. cheesy.. all at the same time to me. :P

Dr. Strange, Reed Richards, maybe even Xavier.. and I may have shrugged my shoulders. But Stark? I love it and hate it all at the same time.

I'm not a very avid comid reader but that's funny That Tony got the gauntlet glove, haha, he stole thor's magical charm to create thorbuster, used banner's rage and gamma-radiation to make hulk buster I believe, and then eventually got cap's shield,.. could be wrong, but Iron Man just can't help but make the most power suit, eachtime he does good he wants more... Like scrooge except with lasers.

Be the Iron Man fan I am, I thought it was great. I really like that he kept the Illuminati around tho, and that he even got Steve Rogers in it now.

I guess I totally don't remember him actually putting it on.. I have the Illuminati series at home, I'll have to look when I get there!

I recently read the Illuminati TPB and I'm almost positive that Reed Richards wore the infinity gauntlet. Then Uatu the Watcher showed up and was all sorts of disappointed in him so he took it off.

A dead shelf seems like an awesome idea, I don't read enough comics to keep up though.
Could do it for Transformers I guess! 'Megatron, is that you?' 'Here's a hint!'.............. (Or words to that effect.)

Maybe we should have a "Died and resurrected at least once within the same continuity" shelf. I'm sure Prime, Starscream and Megatron would top the list.

Lol! I think with Transformers, it'd be a pretty big shelf. Especially if you have multiple versions of the same character on the same shelf. But it would give TF fans another reason for having all those toys of the same characters.
