I have just got the Captain America Marvel Select figure for christmas and the left hand is doing that thing where it wont turn properly, and feels like its going to snap if turned too much. sometimes with bigger joints like legs when it does this if you turn it enough it kind of loosens and then works fine, but with smaller joints like hands i find the hand breaks off easily.
i was wondering if anyone knew a technique to solve this without having thr hand break off?? merry christmas btw!

There's not a trick that works every time. But sometimes heating the joint in hot water or with a hair dryer helps. And other times leaving the figure in the freezer for a little while will do it.
Merry Christmas!

It does that because the paint has dried in the joint.
Saint Phe is right. Boiling water and softening it up is the best bet.

When a wrist snaps it's easy to fix. Using a screw ends up making the wrist more durable than before. I have a guide on how to do that: How to Make Cut Joints and Magna-Joints!
