Rather not use a Duke head for every single custom I do haha. Maybe try a Star Wars head.

Just put a layer of tape on the ball joint, helps fill it in without damaging anything.

Probably, why would you put such a shameful head on Doom?

He looks good in white. I have a lot to learn.
Ok I guess I will make the actual glove in wax and much smaller, the way Hasbro did. Blue sculpty is tough because the fingers stick together while I'm working. |

Great skills! It is a little big though, does it suppose to shrink?

I think it is supposed to bake in the oven but this stuff is not right for this. I am going to use a wax based clay and make it smaller.-tomorrow.

No- for a horribly scarred version!
Quote:
Or you can get Gorilla Glue, add some (not a lot) the SW head, coat the MU peg with cooking oil (so the glue does to adhere to it) and stick the head on there. Let it cure for 24 hours and it should make a perfect A+B joint. If useing a Star Wars head, go with Admiral Akbar for the pic of him yelling "It's A Trap!" as doombots circle the Fantastic Foue.. another interesting thing about Doom is who really knows if we are reading the real DOOM in the comics or a Doombot.

ok so he is not terribly hansom but this Marcus T4 figure only cost a dollar and the head popped on easily. It doesnt have room to make him look up. Maybe with some more paint on the eyebrows , I can make him look better. I will keep playing with different heads latter. I really wish I could find an existing torso to match the beyonder style Doom body. I thought of many Iron man and Star Wars figures but nothing yet. I will hunt for some sculpting tools tomorrow at the hobby store so I can get started on the Infinity Gauntlet. |

Well I thought I had a good idea with using Darth Sidious's hood if there needs to be plastic. Otherwise a guess a green cloth hood and cape could be made.
I didn't have any other current Destros so I opened my exclusive Destro . The head socket was too small so I just placed it on the Doom body and took a picture here; Toyark Toy Forums - JustryGT's Album: single shots The Doom in your new photo has leg and arm coverings similar to colossus or Marvel Universe Thor. It is too bad they both have such tall boots. In my photos you will also see my attempt at fitting the Sidious Hood on Destroyer because he use similar patterns (if you could overlook the rivets) . But he is too big and his neck is hunched over like Hulk. I think this new Doom armor would be best if it was mostly custom made. Otherwise, you could hack together pieces from iron man and marvel universe figures to get it close enough. |
