Are we talking about a stock Doom or him with all that cosmic crap?
Stock, I'd say Mags, since he can control metal, but if the SS board, grail, cube, or some other wild Marvel weapon from Heaven is involved, then I gotta go Doom.

No just the way he is with Latveria as a tool. I think it could be a pretty tough fight with Doom having Magic and all that.

I'd still have to go with Mags, but that would be like Ali vs. Frazier.. very close.

With all their resources? Doom, easily. In point of fact, he's used devices that negate mutant powers on multiple occasions. Once it reaches a personal confrontation, it becomes Doom vs. a powerless Magneto. Short fight.
Doom is also smarter than Magneto by a pretty wide margin. Not that Magneto isn't a genius, it's just that Doom is explicitly one of the two smartest guys on the planet. Given even a minimum of time to prepare, Magneto is likely to get trounced in anything except maybe a popularity contest. If it were a drop of the hat "standard equipment" battle...Magneto, almost as easily as Doom vs. Powerless Magneto. There's no evidence that Doom's "mutant power negators" are standard equipment (he doesn't have them built into his suit all the time, in other words). Without that power negator, there are a vast multitude of ways Magneto could effectively defeat Doom despite his armor (or because of it). -Killing- Doom might be much harder though, due to his magical abilities and his "Ovoid Mind Transfer" technique. |

Doom is like an evil Batman planning for most contingencies...to a point. He has had his fair share of set backs as of late but Doom will reign again soon (he better anyway)
Good topic a buddy and I were discussing this the other day and were in total agreement that Doom would win. and the look on Mags face when he recognizes Doom's victory would be worth the price of admission alone. make it happen Marvel |

I'm pretty sure Doom would have some sort of incantation that would negate Magneto's abilities.im going with doom on this one.

Fantastic Four #258: “Rivals... No one rivals Doom! NO ONE! Doom is supreme! There is no power on earth, no intellect in all creation to equal Mine!"
That's Doom's vote.

This calls for "Deadliest Warrior: Superhero/Villain edition".
I'd be stoked to see that!

I say Magneto, as Doom is in an all metal suit, Magneto could crush his helmet along with his brain.

"FOOT DIVE, FOOT DIVE" even in comics, my vote goes to Doom. I really liked his involvement in the recent Winter Soldier 1-5 also because he was seemingly back to his old kick ass self again.

Because Doom is incredibly brilliant, he knows what his weaknesses are and he knows that there are people out there that could exploit them. I think he would have a contingency in place if he ever went up against Magneto.

Doom. He had Mags Daughter the Scarlet Witch under his wraps, and she's just as powerful mutant as Mags.

Agreed with Megaprime. Doom knows his own weaknesses in any given situation, and he knows the armor he wears would be his greatest weakness against someone like Magneto, so he'd have plans to protect himself.
Beyond that, he's also Marvel's second greatest sorcerer, yes? Second only to Dr Strange, right? He's also way smarter than Magneto, as well (This is not to say I think Magneto is an idiot. But it's true, Doom is one of the most intellegent characters in Marvel or DC). Either way, it's a good question, because if fate ever worked out for either of them, the two would eventually cross swords. Doom has no interests in mutant affairs, and he would either have to prove to magneto that his new world would allow mutants to florish in peace and prosperity, free from persecution and prejudice, or just take him out. I think Doom would do the later. It's simpler. Likewise, if Magneto was ever able to bring about his new world order with mutants as the dominant lifeform, Doom wouldn't just roll over and allow it. I don't think Magneto can defeat Doom one on one.

Either you guys don't know or understand how powerful magneto is and he has other powers besides magnetism and he's a genius in genetic manipulation among other sciences also a brilliant strategist as well as having the capability of raising a mutant army and if they were to go one on one power for power it would just be to close to call I say a draw

Wasn't Doom Magnetos bitch in House of M? Either way, on paper Doom seems like the clear winner. I would really love to see this happen one way or another.
