Looks good. Can't be worse than Stalone's version, right?

I dunno about this yet or not, looks okay to me. I actually liked the orignal, the way Stalone looked with the helmet on was epic, and loved the part "double whammy", the gun specifc to the judges was an awesome touch and I loved the inbred brothers with the giant robot. The plot and acting wasn't good, but I don't blame Stalone.

The Actor in this one said the helmet stays on......the entire film..... Stalone had the look, but thats it.....plus no Rob Shnieder... Or however you spell the losers name.... |

I'd like to see it, but as to toyline... yeah, not gonna happen. it's R rated. We'll probably get a colelctor figure from Mezco or NECA at best. Maybe a Hot Toys. But definitely not Hasbro.

I personally didn't care for the 90's film and especially Rob Schneider's character in it, but it's probably going to be easier to find that than the comics. Unfortunately it doesn't really capture what Dredd and the Judges are really about, due to the plot. Well, technically anyone could do a toyline for Dredd since he's not a Marvel character. In fact, his LCBH figure from a few years ago was released by Toy Biz through a licensing deal with Rebellion Developments (the current owner of all 2000 A.D. characters). I have both Dredd and Death, but really wished they had been able to do Anderson as well (she's now the "rookie" mentioned in the trailer, for those who don't know).

Looks ok. I enjoy Karl Urban in most flicks, so I think he'll do a decent job. Will wait for Netflix though. Not something I have any desire to see in theaters. The trailer itself though seems poorly edited. Almost like it's more than one film being spliced together. Can't put my finger on what exactly.

The wife and I saw it tonight. It was AWESOME. I seriously could have sat through it a second time immediately after. Urban was perfect.

I would highly recommend picking up some trades or older 2000 AD comics featuring Dredd, if you can. He was badass before Wolverine was a thought in Len Wein's head.

i like these modernised volgan war books,"zippo" is a great addition to the universe.i grew up on a heavy diet of 2000ad comics as a kid, they based Slaine macroth on my countries legends of "Cú Chulainn" and the "Táin Bó Cúailnge" i even managed to get Pat to sign all four books of invasions i wonder if the angel family have a bit part in this remake/reimagining.but its a nice touch loosely basing the story on the block wars.

Uh...that's basically what I said. Whoever it is would have to make a deal with Rebellion Developments (as well as the movie studio and possibly the actors).
