Great shots. I'm excited to see DST using new articulation tech.

I've never seen face printing used for just skin, that's odd...

Wow, the likeness is terrible, especially compared to Figuarts.
Strikes me more as Stereotypical Asian Guy Lee rather than Bruce. |

Nice-looking figure, and I really like the Legend-style articulation. I might pick it up. And I actually have to politely disagree with you on the screaming head, Joe...I think the likeness (on both heads) is pretty good.
BTW, it looks like he's holding an umbrella instead of a spinning nunchuck... |

Anyway, that's cool. The screaming face looks a bit better, but the non-screaming face doesn't look like Bruce at all, IMO. Again, I think Figuarts nailed his portrait. However, the facial features and proportions on DST's version feel really off to me, like they sort of gave up. Last edited by predaking000; 07-26-2019 at 12:00 AM.. |

Obviously with the jumpsuit and hair, everyone knows it's supposed to be him. But he's been done way better before. The only upside for this figure is the pricepoint. |

No, it was Joe. He mentioned that the likeness was off on the screaming head.
Eh, maybe that's why I'm giving it a pass. They have all the vital details checked off, so maybe I'm just mentally filling in the blanks on the face. |

Great shoot as always Joe! The hip joints look a little wired to me when bent. The sculpt of the rolled up sleeves also looks a bit off to me. (I wish they did this with long sleeves instead.)
Otherwise I think Diamond Select did a really good job on this release. I’m really looking forward to the shitless version coming out soon too. I plan on buying the Hasbro Overwatch Genji vs Hanzo 2-pack so that I can use Hanzo’s translucent dragon effect piece to for these Bruce Lee figures. |

Naw, the likeness ain't of Bruce Lee...it's of Bruce "Li":
(Fun fact: when I was first exposed to kung-fu movies at a really early age, I initially thought this guy was the real Bruce Lee.) |

This concerns me, not just for this figure, but the figures they plan on releasing. Must the trade off of more advanced articulation be soft plastic? Hopefully they find a middle ground because I want to love that Spider-Man PS4 figure.

That's not Bruce Lee. That's just Bruce, the Asian guy from accounting at Diamond Select HQ.

Hilarious. Yeah, DST's Bruce does look a bit more like Bootleg Bruce. Appropriate, I guess, since much of Game of Death featured stand-ins. |

The hell? Face looks like a Bruce Lee-wannabe.
A major pass and fail. |

The overly long legs bother me more than the likeness, Bruce wasn't a tall guy.

Figure look fine bit the head. Diamond should have listened to the fans and find someway to rework it. Bruce Lee likeness has been done by figuarts, and done well. No excuse for his face to be so off.
