I will get the Crow figure reguardless. I have some pretty bad looking stuff in my Crow collection. But I guess this means we will never see an NECA Ultimate Crow figure??

I hope this means they’re getting away from that previous Hulk body with the garlic bulb thighs. |

Yeah likenesses aren't really there. But as Comedian said, its pretty standard for DST-close enough okay-to-good. My biggest issue is scaling. An example was I think they produced probably the best looking Psylocke but she's out of scale. Good to see an improved Wick. Overall will wait for the releases and review but probably passing.

Think the Crow looks great. It’s not a patch on McFarlane’s, but to be honest I don’t think anyone will ever match that.

If that Wick head comes out of production like that, or close, then that's pure win. Great set of accessories there.

I did feel the face could have been a bit more accurate, my first impression was, leaning toward User897's view, yea he does look a bit off, but on second look, I was thinking, overall, not too bad, the hi-res picture convinced me that they might be worthy actually. Have to say, Comedian, you gave a very good evaluation of the quality of Diamond, even in comparison to Neca, very astute. " Soft likeness" is a perfect way to phrase it. I would have been ecstatic if it resembled Brandon Lee more, I would've went way heavier in ordering if it had tbh . Last edited by UNIQ GEEK; 07-27-2020 at 02:58 AM.. |

If "soft likeness" means "so inaccurate and terrible that I won't buy it", then sure, use any term you like. I don't understand how anyone can be happy with that figure, especially when all you have to do is look at pictures of the McFarlane figure. I'm so glad that I own the Hot Toys version. I was hoping I could have a recent 6"-7" version to put with him, but I guess I'll have to replace my stolen McFarlane figure and call it a day.

And still no news on the Enterprise C or the Reliant. I just don't get it.

Well there you go, your last sentence sums it all up. Call it a day. As any term " one likes " can be used, You will also like it or not. At the end of the day, it's opinions. As I mentioned, I do sort of agree with you, wish the face was done better, but I think they did enough for it to be marketable. I only ordered a couple of cases just because i did feel it lacked that spot-on look.

THIS EXACTLY.^^^ I've grown so tired of talking about the Enterprise-C and Reliant that I forgot to mention them. All we get is the occasional "we're working on it" without so much as a prototype, sketch, scribble on a napkin, nothing. I would rather they just tell us that it ain't happening than keep stringing us along. I like how they turned off the comments for their online con panel. They were turned off here as well.

I'll stick with the Hot Toys version. While it does look better, the likeness is more of a hateness.
