Can't wait to get these!
Wait... Wasn't Flynn advertized in pre-orders as being red instead of blue? Not that I'm complaining. I prefer him as he is in these pics. Also where are the "effect pieces" and the piece of buildable Recognizer vehicle described in most pre-order listings?

Looks like they lost a bit of the Bridges likeness from the prototype but not a big deal for me. |

I really hope this gets a 2nd wave to give us the rest of the core characters, and more importantly a lightcycle to scale with these figures. Sadly DST has a horrible history of doing one-and-done waves of figures for different franchises (ie. Pulp Fiction, X-Files) or failing to complete the rest of the main cast (Star Trek, Buffy) when sometimes all it needed was one more wave of figures.
In the case of Tron, we just need Yori, Dumont, Ram, and maybe the generic red guards or Flynn in real world clothes with a scaled Tron arcade machine. And of course a LIGHT CYCLE. Last edited by ShabbyBlue; 09-12-2019 at 11:41 AM.. |

If anyone is interested, Gamestop has the Kingdom Hearts figures on sale for $10. These aren't the two packs, but the ones with a main character with one of those little imp creatures (I don't know what they are called). They didn't have a Sark, but I grabbed a Tron. They aren't as articulated as the new figures (and don't come with an identity disc), but they would be good for background Programs or cheap custom fodder.

Yep. That's me too excited for these figures for my brain to compute information properly.
Now all I have to do is find a Walgreens! In Canada... Looks like it's eBay for me. Yay.

Looking at Flynn some more in these pics, the likeness is actually pretty good in that one shot next to Sark. It's probably one of those head sculpts where the likeness looks accurate depending on the angle and in certain lighting like Neca's Kyle Reese headsculpt. |

Wow - that's a great price!
I didn't realize these had additional articulation - the previous versions seemed to have the standard NECA joints. I gave them the disks from the Kubrick figures. |

So the online stores get red Flynn as standard, and have the Recognizer and accessories, but Walgreens get Tron blue and Sark. $16.99 is a decent price. Does anyone know where these might be obtainable for non-US citizens without a horrific markup?

Anywhere in the UK that normally sells DST items should at least get the main assortment. Somewhere like Forbidden Planet should get them.

Hmm... they do have them listed as coming mid-November. They're currently priced at $34 a piece. No Sark though. I hope the Walgreens ones become more available. Any US online toy stores likely to get them, or do they stay eBay and Walgreens?

$17 for a blue Flynn exclusive is not bad at all. Color me impressed.

Didn't see blue Flynn at any Walgreens... on the plus side I didn't see any shelfwarming Zarks either so I guess they didn't hit yet. And I hope they make Ram... they always seem to only make Tron and Flynn and never Ram.

I financed a scalper to get a blue Flynn. I hope the online exclusives for Tron and Sark aren't different because I really don't want to double-dip at the prices they cost over here. I also hope the packaging is the same 'opening' style box, and not the huge bubble the Kingdom Hearts ones came in.
However, I've said it before and I'll say it again: I wish wish wish they'd gone the extra mile and made the coloured highlights luminous. That would make them the best figures in the Universe... |

Just picked up all three at my local Walgreens last night. At first, I was a little disappointed with the coloration when looking at them in store, but at home, and out of the box, they are excellent.
They come with a data disc and stands (that don't work) and that is it. I was about to cancel my BBTS order until I saw the red Infiltrator version of Flynn.

I just saw that too! So should I return Sark and Tron or is there any variant reason to hold on to them before getting the webstore versions?

on-line also says something about an "effect" piece but I can't find any pics of what that might be.
