I don't get why movie Cap figures even get a Unmasked variant when it's clear they can't use Chris Evans' likeness. This is what? The 10th unmasked variant we've gotten across all lines, and it still doesn't look like Chris?

Wait, is that really the case? It looks more like a swing-and-a-miss moreso than a placeholder. A faceholder, if you will.

I don't believe he was ever even maskless whilst in uniform in Civil War.

On a more cinematic level it also helps to show a face that can react and emote. It's fine to have, say, Iron Man wear his helmet all the time in the comics because comic books are a more forgiving medium, but it helps immensely with performances to give heroes a maskless face. |

Not in Civil War (with this particular costume) he doesn't. I suppose most of his face is visible anyway. Iron Man is often helmetless in the armour and there's also all those in-helmet shots too but I'm referring to Cap.

I love that they have individuality. I don't like it when they try to match actors faces. They usually miss the mark. It gives the figure a sense of realism if they are their own character.

Man. That stinks. I already picked up the regular version and really enjoy it, but I'd love to have the unmasked head. What a bummer!
