The New Wii U controller looks like a Xbox 360 controller.

So far, for the most part, E3 has been just awful. The MS press conference was abysmal on all fronts. The Sony one was just ok until they brought out that stupid book thing. Then they pretty much ignored the Vita (not that I have one). No interest in what Nintendo has to offer so I'll just be skipping that one all together.
As for the games...Same old franchises (so you know exactly what to expect) and a small sampling of new stuff. Some of the new stuff looks ok I guess.

I've ignored a good chunk of this. I saw the Wii U and maybe I'm confused, but does the controller have a touchscreen built in? I was watching a demo of it. You use the touch screen to control the game? Are you watching on the touchscreen or is it on your tv? I'm confused.
Anyway, Sony had nothing. I guess I missed that book thing Joe mentioned, but I'm disappointed they did nothing about either a new console or anything on the vita. Shame. |

A new PS system would be premature at this time. We have, likely, another 3+ years of the PS3. The WiiU, has a tablet like device as one of the controllers. But it apparently can use the Wii Remotes, and will have standard controllers as well.

My jaw dropped when Metroplex was revealed. With him I see this going one of three ways:
1. You play as Metroplex to fight Trypticon. 2. You spend a level fighting INISDE of him. 3. You somehow have to fight him during a excruciating boss battle. |

I just assumed Metroplex was just there in the background fighting while you're controlling a character and also fighting. That would be awesome if you could fight as him. We'll see in Aug I guess.
