if only it wasn't robocop 3.
Great price and cool figure but this movie was the complete bastardization of the franchise and essentially killed it's existence. And it's not Peter Weller, I wouldn't want the pretender Robocop of this scale taking up this much real estate in my collection. Last edited by t1dc; 07-05-2017 at 08:35 AM.. |

that's a huge robocop. I wish it was based on the first film too.

So could the electronics be re-enabled or did they remove them entirely? Might be a fun project for 200 haha

I didn't open it up to investigate what was or wasn't removed. The gears seem to still be in place though, as you can hear them spin as you rotate the head or open the hip holster.

I've been looking at this a while since they put it on clearance. Surprising about the hollow parts, especially at the original $500 price tag.
Still thinking but thanks for the nice photos! |

Having owned both of this and the Hot Toys version at one time...no.
The Hot Toys version felt like an actual high quality piece, this one, while better than the Robocops that were put out by 3A (which had QC issues everywhere) felt like a hollow, plastic, toy like the reviewer said. Plus at that scale, the articulation should have blown my Hot Toys one out of the water. Imagine my disappointment when I couldn't strike some of Robo's iconic poses with it. A good looking toy, but not at a 500 dollar price tag. I'm glad I was able to get rid of mine before they hit clearance. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 07-05-2017 at 01:17 PM.. |

I really love this figure but we just had to send it back.
The slip cover was pretty scratched up, but the main problem was that the leg piston on one of his calves was broken off pretty badly due to it being removed from the foam protection and put back in wrong at the factory when they checked to see if the electronics worked or not. I've heard this complaint from a few people, so I assume its not an isolated incident. :P I also had issues with all use of the soft rubber like the forearms and the hands (which kept falling off). Seems a bit too squishy! Then I couldn't find his pistol anywhere in the package, so I assumed it must be in his leg holster, but the instruction manual clearly stated not to ever try to open the holster manually instead of using the remote, so I didn't bother to look. Heh. Other than that it sure is an amazing looking 1/4 scale fig! And at $200 USD on BBTS, its the same price that the much cheaper looking NECA 1/4 Robocop currently goes for on ebay! Someone on Facebook said they popped batteries into the clearance one they got from BBTS & the electronics worked. So may be worth trying out if you're buying it. I got mine directly from Enterbay, but haven't thought of giving it a shot.
