I was reading this up on rebelscum that Target is going to re-release the ewok village as a holiday special. Apparently it's in the Target system and will also come with a ton of figures and an AT-ST. Find the info below if interested. This is also rumor as well, so please take it as such.

Wait, is this the original 1984-ish one? If so: want!

You know, I'm not sure, but I think it actually might be. They re-released once before, as Sherwood Forrest.

The great thing I loved about that was Friar Tuck had the mold of a Gamorrean Guard. They just used a different head.

I think this rumor was killed when we saw the details of the Clone wars and sarlac ultimate battle pack. I really dont see target putting out three $70 exclusives

Unfortunately, I think it will probably end up being a diorama-type multi-pack, moreso than a full-on playset. Maybe the Ewok band with Stormtrooper helmet drums and such.
I remember that, and I thought it was a very ingenious way of getting more use out of the mold. That, and it was hilarious to think that Robin Hood pays rent to the Ewoks!

Well, for starters that Sarlacc Pack should NOT be 70.00...I'm still pissed about that one, as that really was the only Star Wars item I had planned on picking up this holiday season. For the same price, I can get the Joe pack that has a ton more stuff.

It seams that retailers know they are gonna take it in the shorts with mark downs on main line stuff. The $7.77 transformer deluxes are a good example and prices are creeping down on star wars figures. To make up for this loss it seams they are trying to make more money on exclusive merchandise you have to buy from them. It is both asshole and genius but what are you gonna do? |

If this is a re-issue of the original one, I'd be all for it. But I hope it's not ridiculously overpriced like the Lars Homestead is. I don't understand why that is so expensive, it's obsurd.

I would really love to get that band though. Has it ever been released before?

As far as I am aware of, no there has never been a release of the Ewok band specifically or any of the members, although I'm sure that some have made customs over the years. Honestly, given how many obscure characters Kenner/Hasbro have released over the years, I'm surprised they haven't gotten around to it yet.

The Ewok 'drum kit' was released in a $10 Target Deluxe asseccories set like 5 years ago. I didn't pick it up in favor of the Hoth set; but they were a fig re-release (usually an armybuilder-type guy) and a wad of weapons and a couple of new molded pieces.
