Loving my Tracer, can't wait for Genji, and preordered Widow too!
My only gripe would be that the release schedule feels reaaaally stretched... One figure every 6 months I think one every 3 months would be perfect for this line, but that's just my opinion of course. |

The thing with figma is they don’t seem to do the mecha plus character in scale. They haven’t with Metroid and they also didn’t with Expelled from paradise.

She looks great. But the real question is...
Does she come with the bird-flippin' hand? THAT is the real question. |

Figma is back in business. Honestly, for a while there I thought they were off. But that's just me. Overwatch!!

I don't play Overwatch, but some of their character designs I can really dig. Widowmaker is probably my favorite of the gals. With that said, I love Figma! I have a few of their figures in my game room so this is a win-win for me.

^ I play Overwatch casually, the game gets kinda meh after a while, but the characters are really awesome. You should watch the character animated shorts on Overwatch's youtube channel if you haven't already... they are really well done.

This Overwatch serie is very cool, I can't wait to get Tracer and Genji and this one is already pre-order.
I guess they're more expensive than the regular figma because of Blizzard/Activision Royalties |

^ That is one good looking action figure. I hope they do Brigette next... I know she is the newest hero and needs to wait in line, but she is so fun to play IMO.

That's it, you blew it. Jeff heard that and he's bringing in the nerfs now.

@Topic: Reaper looks good. I'm glad this line keeps going; I did not expect it to go on for this long even with the global amount of Overwatch-fans. I'd like to see a Winston done some day, I like Gorilla-figures and one in a spacesuit would be fantastic. The size would clock up the price considerably though, and these are already on the expensive side. |

"Sir, people are saying Brigitte is fun to play" "Damnit!" "What shall we do, sir?" "Do what we always do, son. Nerf Mercy" Reaper is a good choice, though I was hoping for McCree. I like that so far the release schedule is female-male-female-male.

Preordered the Reaper despite knowing jack shit about the game he comes from but, he'll fit in perfectly on my random, cool looking figures shelf (aka my desk at the moment). To me he looks like a Joe Madueria interpretation of the Udon Taskmaster.

Oh hell yeah. As much as Reaper tilts me, I'd be lying if I said he didn't have one of my favorite designs in the game.

I'll only actually get Reaper if/when he drops in price eventually, I don't like Edgelord-2016 enough to chuck out cash for his asking price. I'm hoping they reveal Pharah or Mercy next, Zenyatta still feels like a pipe dream for me.

^ Zenyatta has the best Funko Pop IMO out of all the Overwatch ones... not that I would ever buy one of those things. IMO the cool thing about Reaper though is that he is like the only hero who's default costume is better than all of his other epic and legendary costumes.

I actually did get Zenyatta's pop because it's the least altered design, he has no face for Funko to horribly ruin by stripping it away. Plus his pop therefor actually resembles his cute spray in game. Still though they didn't even make his pop until the third assortment so I doubt Figma would be hopping to make him right away.

I'm guessing either D.va / Mei / Mercy will be next.

Overwatch kinda reminds me of Stranger Things in that I think its popularity already peaked, but they are still making tons of merchandise for it that less and less people will buy. They should have made all this stuff in the first year.
EDIT: Also the DVA animated short was kinda underwhelming... Mei's one was the best IMO followed closely by Reinhardt's one. Last edited by MeLikeJinx; 08-22-2018 at 05:14 AM.. |

It's impossible to know if it's peaked or not, but it had 40m active players in May up from 35m late last year so it's far from being unpopular

Count me in. Would love a DX with mech, although I guess that's wishful thinking.

I'm just going to wait and see if Hasbro actually gives us D.va with her mech, the entire package would probably be cheaper than just the Figma figure. This is assuming that Hasbro ever actually makes the figures, it feels like they're just sitting on the license so far. Even Lego already teased what they're doing with Overwatch.
Regarding Overwatch's popularity: it may have already peaked but for a two year old game that's multiplayer only it still has a pretty notable fan base. It's lost the limelight but that's not the same as losing the majority of its players, I've never had any issues hopping online and finding a match.

But just imagine if they came out while the game was still the top dog and in the public consciousness. When all the casual players were still into it? They would've made MASSIVE bank. |
