Question: What are the best figure stands on the market? im assuming its the stands with the clasp hook so you can pose the fig in any angle but what the brands or models, any suggestions?
Thanks, Tomax. |

My local tru has started carrying Neca stands for a few bucks. Those work well for 7in figs. Also Barns N Noble sells the Tamashii stands for Revoltech and SH Figuarts stuff.

Universal Support Bracket Model Stand base Bracket for Figure toy Act Robot New | eBay
For flight stands these work great. You won't find a better price either. For floor stands, it depends. The line you collect, the size you collect and the era you collect. For example, Star Wars black series 6" Star Wars black series 3.75" and Star Wars vintage Kenner all take a different size. Marvel Legends 6" and Marvel Legends 3.75" both will take a different size. Modern Gi Joe and classic Gi Joe take a different size. It is all about the foot peg size. As for flight stands, doesn't matter too much as you can grip the figure or support from below. So I highly recommend the above linked. As I said for floor stands it is a big question without knowing what it is you are wanting to display. Also just round and simple, flat or contoured, clear or coloured, single peg or multi pegged floor stands are all available in various sizes. 3.75" figures will have the most floor stand options, and there now a few options for 7" figures. 6" floor stands are available in a few different styles as well. I find the 6" stands (clear round single peg) to be the most expensive. I have personally done a lot of research on this subject, just state what it it you are wanting and for what type of figure and maybe I can help. Could at a minimum, throw some links your way for you to do your own research. Hope this helps!!!! Edit: Just remembered, there are some cool videos on YouTube on how to make your own FLIGHT STANDS FOR ACTION FIGURES. Cheap and effective, often using coat hanger type wire. If using black wire for instance, against a black shelf they are almost invisible. For plastic flight stands search for ACT III or ACT IV. A nice alternative floor stand is clear acrylic sheets cut into small circles or banana shapes and polish the edges then simply hot glue the figure. It is easy and won't damage the figure or fall over. That is how Hasbro display their stuff at conventions.

I actually used a few different types of stands. One thing to remember is that no stand is invisible, even the clear ones.
The main type of stand that I use is Kaiser Doll Stand for 6.5" to 11" figures. They're metal, they have a good base for the figure to stand on, and they'll last forever. You won't get a lot of dynamic poses with these stands but the 6.5" to 11" size gives you some wiggle room within the clasp. These are especially good if you have some harder to find figures (or Neca figures) as they will securely keep your figures standing upright instead of falling off a shelf. The 6" to 7" size stands work really well for female Legends and female Black Series figures but you'll need to adjust the support arm since they weren't fully bent at a 90 degree angle. I'm used one here with Dock Ock. Spiderman wasn't even centered over the stand and it didn't have any problems supporting the two figures If you want the clear stands with the multi-jointed arm, then you'll need to look around on eBay. Bandai used to sell some but they appear to be discontinued. Also, all Mafex figures come with one of these stands. You could also try the Neca Dynamic AF Stands. They don't have as many joints in the arm, but they are easy to get and the arm looks to be well supported near the base. |

IDS figure stands by Marauder Inc. Works for 3-3/4 inch figures as well as most NECA and Marvel Legends figures. Feature interlocking bases and two different peg sizes. Black or clear. I got a hundred-pack for $56.
