2012 Club Lion Force First Look
Still on the fence with this one personally. Looks like they've done things pretty well though. Nice that Lance comes with an alternate head, and the activation key is a real nice touch. |

Really not a fan of one touch transformation. I can easily foresee a lot of the mechanisms breaking down over the years.. would have greatly preferred manual transformations.
I guess I'm just seeing shades of Power Core Combiners, and how flawed those one touch transformations were on the limbs. For those that don't know, lots of quality control issues there, especially on the first figures. |

Need to see more, need to see it.... COMBINED! Need to see if it can pull off some kick ass poses with the sword of King Jyouken(GO LION FTW!!)

Same here. What the hell? Looks simpler and smaller than I'd like. Articulation looks basic. I mean this IS a step up from the LJN or whomever made that huge ass Voltron in the 80's that could house figures. It *might* be better than the giant ass Trendmasters one that could do the same thing.

This thing looks simpler than Toynami's Masterpiece Voltron. Admittedly that is not a good sign. I am also worried about the automorph killing the leg articulation. I sincerely hope that is not the case.
The primary thing this has going so far is possibly fall articulation in combined mode, and the shelf presence. At 23 inches combined, this is one huge mofo. Still wondering what Bandai could come up with should they ever ever decide to make an SOC GO LION.

As a member of the transformers collectors club i can say that what they are selling the lion and figure for is friggen CHEAP! . Try joining the TFCC and see how they charge insane amounts of money and shipping for a toy thats just a repaint that gets a new head lol.

I'm interested, but a little apprehensive. The two Go-Lions I already own are pretty good, so I don't know if I really want to drop $250 + shipping to get another one unless it outshines the other two.
Really need to see it combined and also a demo on how the one-touch transformation works. Is it like TFA Activators (still acticulated) or more like DOTM Activators (no articulation)?
