Well I will say that this will be mine when it comes out. I passed on the others for various reasons, skin tone mismatch, warped mask etc. I wasn't a fan of the head sculpt. However I think it is time to grab one and this guy looks great to me. I love the gaping machete wound. There are just lots of things I like about it. I will wait and check it out in person but I have been picky about this figure for some reason and I think this one will be a winner for me.I think the hack saw is my favorite. Ithe would make a great cabin scene with a body on the table. I am sure I can find an extra figure somewhere in a bargain bin to repaint and chop up.
I noticed in their Twitter pictures that the nails were black in one picture and not painted in the others. I wonder which version will be produced. |

For packaging photos, many companies will use prototypes. And most of the time, those are hand painted prototypes. This ensures that when the figure hits production, the packaging is ready. Otherwise, you're waiting for final production versions of the figure, then taking photos, then getting the packaging approved by the licensor. That can delay a product by months.

Doesn't look bad. I'm more of the Retro style of figures from Neca, but man I do wish they could give us fans an accessory pack of all the tools Jason used to kill people with. Like someone mentioned earlier, still I got no problems with it.

Can't wait to see this one in hand. Ultimate part three disappointed me.
The accessories were wonderful but the figure was lacking. Mismatched skintones and really loose hip joints made him feel cheap imo. Hopefully this one is an improvement when it comes to quality. |

I can't remember, have they done an ultimate Part 6?
Anyhoo, this figure looks really cool!

That was their first ultimate Jason, they did him back in 2015. Here's a pic I took of it back when. Loose hips weren't rare on this figure but he could still stand pretty well.

Damn, I was afraid that was the case. Unless I'm mixing it up with Mezco one, isn't that one really hard to find for a decent price?

Unfortunately just about every NECA product, especially for more popular franchises, becomes hard to acquire once they've been out for more than a couple of months. I guess the trade off is that lately (past few years now) there haven't been any rare figures while they are new, it forces us to constantly keep an eye out.

Ah well, hopefully one day I'll get a 6/7 inch Part 6 in my collection. He's my favorite Jason.

I get the loose hips, maybe. Mine was ok, way better than the part VI though. I still think this was a fantastic figure. I have the original ones, but this one has a near perfect hockey mask. That alone really sold me. The skin tone was cool I thought, the original too clean. The new one tried to add a more realistic tone.
