They sure do! This is how to do a proper update of classic designs. Feels like the team working on this are really getting a good grasp on balancing classic with modern.

Yah i don’t do pre-orders. Been burned one too many times and a lotta times they show up in stores before the pre-orders get filled.

I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed by these reveals. They're good reveals for sure but they were already leaked as happening so it's not hitting as well as it could have. Regarding the figures though on their own merits, I'm liking what we're seeing here. They're leaning more classic like Destro or Snake Eyes but still fit in with the modernized style of the line. Scarlett always had like a superhero costume compared to her teammates so getting an MCU looking suit fit the new style, but Flint and Lady Jaye were always more standard army so it makes sense that they didn't overhaul their designs as much. The accessories also look well suited to either character and I like that Jaye has the hat or hair choice but I'm finding Flint's shotgun to be a bit intriguing. It's apparently both a break and pump-action at once which doesn't really make sense but it looks cool and this is all fictional anyway.

Yah, you can put me in the camp that thinks Classified Flint and Lady Jaye look amazing.
Also... really glad I don't want any of the Wave 3 of the 3.75" retro figs... still desperately need Wave 2 Retro Scarlett though... gawd I hate Walmart exclusives. |

Wait, the images for Flint and Jaye were leaked beforehand?

^ No... just the lineup for who was coming out next. And I always thought Lady Jaye wore a military shaped cap... not a regular round type baseball cap.

The shape of it tended to vary depending on the artist. |

And to no one's surprise, I just got an email from Amazon saying they are delaying my Storm Shadow preorder again.

not yet,
Snake-Eyes, Duke, Scarlet, BeachHead, GungHo, and RoadBlock are the only Joes out now with Lady Jaye and Flint coming soon. (StormShadow was released in his traditionally Joe team look- but he's in a Cobra box so...) |

Mine's just been at "Order received - we will email you when we have an estimated delivery date" status for months, I'm worried they'll eventually cancel it.

So glad I trusted Amazon and didn’t hit the secondary market. I got my Storm Shadow yesterday!
Is it just me or have scalpers ruined your enjoyment of this line more so than any other? |

^ From watching toy collectors/hunters on youtube a ton of people just gave up on the Classified line when they couldln't find Beachhead or the Baroness. But I think a lot of people were on the fence anyway when the Classified designs were not ARAH designs, but not finding any figures at retail just pushed them over the edge to not collect them at all.
A bunch of people gave up on the NECA Turtle stuff too I think... those seem also hard to find from what I watched. It's crazy though... I've watched a bunch of mainly Star Wars and Wrestling collectors on youtube pass up on a Baroness at Target. |

I wonder if Hasbro put the brakes on this line in order to remove the tech and metallic armor decos from future waves. Roadblock and Scarlett are getting re-released in Wave 3 but their decos have been changed to match to Flint and Lady Jaye.

So my initial impressions on Storm Shadow are mixed. He's got the same looseness that Snake-Eyes has, especially in the abcrunch area, but the sculpt itself is pretty awesome. They did a great job of updating the Ninja Force look and I love that he comes with a bow and arrow (even if it is MMPR Pink's arrow). I also love that they allow the pack of quivers to connect with the sword sheath on the back. On the other hand, they should have given him an alternate hand to properly hold the arrow. While I like the idea of his grappling hook, he can't really hold the string, which is a bummer. The other weapon is cool, however, it should have been painted. Overall, he's a great addition to my Joe shelf, but also not worth the scalper prices I have seen him at. Glad I didn't pay extra for mine.

I've watched a bunch of mainly Star Wars and Wrestling collectors on youtube pass up on a Baroness at Target. I was one of those people on the fence. The designs did not impress me, but I was willing to give them a chance if I saw them in person. I gave up on the whole line rather quickly. The whole thing just feels pointless with how awful the distribution is. I will not start a new collection when over half of the figures in the line are impossible to find at retail. It's just not worth it. Who is even the audience for these figures? There's no way kids are getting them, it seems like they are more for adults yet they won't give the characters proper guns. I'm glad I'm not a tmnt fan, the Neca turtles are just as bad if not worse. I've never seen them at walmart, and target rarely will have a single two pack on the shelf. |
