I typically take the easy way through customs and this was an exception but really the things that I did didn't really take so much. There's a bit of Xacto work of course and most of the heads seem to be pretty interchangeable which is nice.
I took an Obi Wan Kenobi and shortened the legs a 1/2", sculpted over the front of the tunic and grafted the texture in with a remnant piece of the original tunic. The neck is from a Han Solo figure. What I'm proudest of is I used the lower parts of the tunic to graft that texture back into the clay to create the closure of Luke's tunic. That really made the difference. The rest of the work is standard chop shop techniques: paint matching and sculpting.

How did you shorten the legs?
Can you remove black series joints and limbs/heads quite easily with no threat of breakage? I'm really wanting to get into customizing but I still haven't even figured out how to safely fix my Boba Fett's lose joint yet :/ Any advice you could give me on customizing these figs at all would be much appreciated |

I elect to remove about 3/16" from the hip swivel connection. The part of the thigh covered by the tunic. I only cut the plastic of the thigh swivel and not the peg inside. Then I take a dremmel and bore out space in the remaining thigh so that the peg can be seated again. You'll need to trim the groundings off with an exacto and you should be able to pop it right into its new socket. Heat might cure loose joints. Please allow somebody to correct me if I'm wrong but heat applied to the loose joint may cause the plastic to return to its "memory" shape (the one everybody else has without loose joints) it seems logical. Just don't burn it.

so the area above the swivel you took out and just dremel'd out new holes for the pegs? Are all the heads detachable as far as you know? I'm scared to death I'm gonna break Boba lol

Heads should be detachable. As far as the loose issue goes, use superglue to put into the loose area and work the joint back and forth. It will add as a thin layer and create stiffness, remember to keep working the joint or else it will be permanently in that position.

Thanks for all the help guys, it means a lot! Is it safe to pull the arm out to get the glue in there? I've put it around the joint hoping it would seep in but to no avail so far XD
