I've got the Ghostbuster II boxset from Mattel, Stay Puft from NECA and am getting the Hot Wheels Ecto-1 then that's about me done.
I do have fond memories of having a Real Ghostbusters Sludgebucket toy as a kid though which I'm half tempted to get from eBay!

I still got the real ghostbusters ecto 1. Though it may not be in that great of condition, it's still awesome.

I'd like to see more cartoon styled figures, but in the 6 inch scale. I wonder if the old Kenner molds exist still and if there is any precedent of molds being sold/licenced to other companies. For example, if Mattel were to re-issue the original toys. Not likely to happen, but it would be cool. Perhaps Sony would own the toy molds anyway? Doesn't seem likely, but just thinking out loud...or in cyberspace.
I'd also like to see some Extreme toys in one form or another. |

I have all four. If you're thinking of getting them at TRU, stop waiting because they've already gone up $2 per figure since they've been out.

Just picked up two of the minimate sets for Real Ghostbusters. Picked up Slimer with Janine & Boogieman with Terror Dog. Finally some villains to poke fun at. Plus Boogieman was always one of my favorites.

I was wondering the same thing ^^
I'm all Ghostbustered up! My giant Stay Puft shipped today, I just paid for my 2012 ecto-1 club membership, and I'm picking up a Real GB lot this Sunday that contains the Firehouse & Ecto-1... for super cheap. I do have to say that this site is doing a very nice job with updates, pictures, etc. Let's see some ghosts though

I still have the original real ghostbusters ecto-1 in storage. I should bust that out at some point. I wonder what condition it's in.
Anyway the new stay puft doesn't look all that well made to be costing, what, 60-70? I can't remember but I wonder if there was one for the real ghostbusters. Hmmm I should google that........and it looks like they did, but not that impressive. |

Bigger than the Real Ghostbusters version, but a lot smaller than this monster. He has the angry face too. Pretty cool looking.

I'd endorse NECA Puft as a fine purchase, be interesting to see comparison pics.

Those GB Neca figs are really nice. I'd like to get a couple of their Terror Dogs, but I know as soon as I do Matty will come out with them for $20 (which would be much cheaper for those who don't know).

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of too. I was hoping they would show them this year at SDCC. Oh well, maybe they'll be a part of next year's line, if Mattel can keep the GB line going that long. I really want that Zuul and Terror Dogs from NECA but they are so damn expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!

So who signed up for club Ecto-1 on Matty? I did. But I kind of feel a little jipped. They posted online that the Rookie (club exclusive) was shipping with the taxi cab ghost. That's why I signed up. Later, they corrected and said that a Venkman would include that ghost. Don't think I would've signed up otherwise.
I personally really enjoy this line, but I'm a HUGE GB fan. I really wish they would incorporate Real Ghostbusters (animated) into the line. I think it would really expand the life and variety of the line. Also, while some may think this blasphemous, I really wish they could incorporate the Filmation Ghostbusters characrters into the line, done in a similar style to MOTUC/DCUC. Mattel seems to be building a good relation with the Filmation rights holders. If the same group owns the right to those Ghostbusters I hope it would be a possibility down the road. Especially if the Filmation MOTUC characters sell well. Again, this would only add to the longevity of the line. Plus, I really enjoyed the Filmation series and toys when I was a kid. |

I signed up for the Ecto-1 club too. I was on the fence about it because I don't really need two of each GB just to have one with a slime blower, but once I found out we're getting at least three new characters (Dana, Viggo, The Rookie), on top of the fact that I had decided long ago that I was getting that 23" Voltron, so shipping was already covered (combining the subs to save us on shipping--awesome!),... $140 was an easy decision for me. I missed the thing with the Taxi ghost not coming with The Rookie, but they had me either way.
I'd love for them to mix in some Real GB 6-7" figs too. They seem hellbent on those retro figs though. At a certain point, just like you said, the line is going to need to expand a bit if they want to keep it going. I love Venkman, but I don't need him in a suit, shorts, Hawaiian shirt, or whatever other outfit. In the back of my mind I keep holding out hope that they'll do something extra for us sub guys. Like, offer us the inevitable Terror Dogs long before they'll be available to the gen public or something.

Got my RTBY Egon today. The Librarian is neat. I hope we can a person form at some point. The extra PKE's are nice if you passed the regular ego, as well as if you set up dioramas. Excited for Vigo.
