Well, that answers the second terror dog question. I’m not loving the Luis likeness. But in for a penny, in for a pound.

I haven't gotten any of these, but I have to admit the Murray and Aykroyd sculpts were pretty good when I saw them in store. Enticing...

I just can't motivate myself to collect this line after already getting all of the Mattel figures and then the DST line. These have better face sculpts than Mattel, but its the same scale and same character selection so far, so I don't think I want o start over with yet another Ghostbusters collection.
Hasbro really needs to FINALLY do an Ecto-1 in this scale if they want to encourage sales. It's the one thing Mattel and DST neglected to give us. I'm hoping they are planning one and waiting to reveal/release it when the new film comes out next year. |

Agreed, I'm in for this pack, too, but BEGRUDGINGLY. Hasbro's Plasma series is great overall, but they're lacking imagination. I was really hoping Hasbro would realize they're late to the GB party and maybe make some unexpected choices rather than the obvious ones. Sure, choices are limited, but do we need a 3rd Luis-Tully-in-disheveled-blue-shirt figure in just 10 years? Or a 3rd possessed-Dana-Barrett-in-gold-dress figure, again in just 10 years? Maybe I'm in the minority, but I was really hoping for some surprises, maybe Louis in that ugly-but-iconic blue tracksuit from the hallway scenes? Or maybe a Dana in the white blouse and skirt when she first hires the GBs and Venkman inspects the apartment? We all know we're going to get the possessed versions of Dana and Luis at some point in the line, I just wish we were getting something FRESH to collect instead of just improved versions of what 2 other companies released before them -- recently, too.

All in. Looks great. And as Comedian said, second terror dog is now taken care of. I think the delay of the movie hurt the line a little bit, but hopefully once it's released we'll see more product.

I doubt we were gonna get the second terror dog as a BAF, especially as a second wave BAF. It just seems like it'd confuse casual buyers and seem like a waste of a slot to more hardcore collectors. I think if there's a second wave we'll bet a ghost BAF, maybe Vigo, Eleanor Twitty/ Librarian ghost, the Scoleri Brothers... Heck I'd even be down for some of the video game ghost designs!

I also can't believe that they neglected to include a proton stream with EVERY Ghostbuster in wave 1. Winston is the only one that includes a stream, so you either have to buy 3 more of him to add streams to the other ghostbusters, or hope that streams are included with variant figures in the future. It's really a major oversight on Hasbro's part. Mattel and DST never made such a stupid mistake. It's this and the same boring character selection that makes this line seem lazy on Hasbro's part just to take advantage of what they expected to be a nostalgic resurgence in Ghostbusters this summer when the new movie was originally expected to come out. But with these figures all pegwarming badly at retail, I doubt Hasbro will even go as far in figure selection as DST and Mattel did.

These are in scale with ML right?
If so, that Louis having only a soft likeness is actually a godsend for those of us still looking for more "civilian" figures. The expression works for your usual fleeing civilian caught in a superhero-vs-villain battle too. |

They are actually smaller. They can fit if you fudge them but they are almost the same as the Mattel line. So more like the movie masters size of the Nolan Batman figures.

This actually doesn't solve the Terror Dog situation. The wave 1 BAF was Vinz Clortho but this is also Vinz, we're still missing Zuul. Zuul has much shorter horns. That being said, it would be lame if Zuul was the BAF of wave 2 since that'd be the same basic toy twice in a row just with a different head. If the line turns out to be a dud and doesn't last much longer I'm still happy to just have completed the team, for me Hasbro's versions have been the best so far.

The Walmart re-releases didn't have the proton streams either.

Zuul has shorter horns as she is the female, they're also slightly down-turned. We also know this pack is Vinz since he's the one who chased and possessed Louis. There doesn't have to be a third Terror Dog though, now that we have two bodies a future figure could include Zuul's head as an option for the first BAF. Like how the Marvel Legends Kitty came with a proper Onslaught head for the previous Red Onslaught BAF.

Yeah it didn't have to be, I actually had previously assumed that such a set would be the possessed Louis and Zuul (so we'd have each possessed person and their respective dog forms) but I guess Hasbro wanted to go for more of a scene specific theme for this pack. I kind of prefer how Diamond handled it where it was just one terror dog figure with interchanging horn sets.

I really hope they give this terror dog shorter horns even if it is not accurate to the scene. I have a feeling HAsbro will do one of two things. Either they will make Zuul yet another release which would really suck or they will include just a new head in a figure down the line somewhere, similar to how they will sometimes release just a character head with Marvel Legends figures
The Luis head sculpt looks pretty good. Better than previous releases and it looks like they are continuing the trend of having the glasses be part of the face sculpt which I rather like as it seems to be the only way to get super accurate glasses. |

pegwarming for you, perhaps, but I only first saw them 3-4 weeks ago and they sold out immediately (as in, I went back a few days later and they were gone).
