I'm looking forward to it. I really ended up liking the first one. It definitely wasn't a perfect G.I. Joe movie but I thought it was a lot of fun. It was very cheesy at times, which I don't always mind, and had elements that I didn't care for but other parts were just so damn cool. The Cobra Gunship attacking the convoy was great. Seeing the inside of the Pit on film was great, too! Seeing all the different levels and activities going on was awesome. It was over the top but it totally captured the outlandish ideas a kid playing with his toys would have. My main problem was how they interpreted some characters. Still, count me in for part 2.

I'm with you there, Lud. Some character bios left me either angry or scratching my head. Even some of the characters they picked to be in the movie were strange given their roles in the film.
But I'm hoping now that the awkwardness of character introductions and background stuff is out of the way, this new movie will hit the ground running.

Never got a chance to see the first one, so maybe I should watch it before going into the next one.
Wonder if David Tennant is going to star in this one.

I'm glad that a sequel is in the makes, I know for me personally; Rise of Cobra brought back my love of the GI Joe "franchise". This will definitely be on my anticipation list, I wonder if it will better or worst than X-Men First Class...
