Hi, new member here. I'm collecting Marvel Select. Focusing on my favorite Marvel figures from the 70's and 80's when I was an avid reader. So far I've got Wolverine (Brown costume), Colossus, Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Nightcrawler, Storm, Magneto and Juggernaut.
I'm also building a Danger Room to display the figs. I'll post pics when that's done. I love Select figures. The price point for what you get is phenomenal. I mean, $18 for a figure the size and quality of Juggernaut? And some of the fantastic displays/bases? Wow. Of course, the bummer is that the articulation is mediocre. But to me it's a worthy tradeoff. Now for my question: Why in the world didn't select make a Professor X figure? I would think that would be a very popular figure with collectors. And with Select's penchant for great bases, they could really do him up in style with his hovering chair. Take care! George |

Hello! Welcome to the boards. I honestly wouldn't rule out a Professor X figure. But including the figure and the chair might cost too much. Only time will tell. I enjoy the selects too, but for certain characters. Some of them don't do it for me. But to each his own.

I honestly think select just puts out so few figures they haven't gotten around to doing him. plus with all the movie and movie tie in figures they do they're probably just backlogged on comic related material. I'm sure they'll get around to him, he's always a collector favorite, but with the focus of the next couple years going to the inhumans, apocalypse, deadpool, Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spiderman and his possible spinoffs, and the Avengers, It seems most of the toy lines have kind of put the X-men on the back burner for now. (thanks Disney)

Cool, thanks! How often does Select issue new figures? Is there a standard timing or is it random?

I'm not sure, it seems to go by relevance, it's like every time a big movie, or significant comic event goes down Select has figures on the shelf that day. I'm not sure if they have a distribution schedule, and half the time I only find out about new offerings here either on the newsfeed, or someone showing what they just got.
