So I know I'm probably the one one in the world even looking for these things,
but is there any sort of release date for these things?

It's sad, when the DCIH line blows this out of the water

Well I plan to buy a few. I don't want all of the legends so this is how I can get a representation of the team for cheap.

so...? GOTG isn't getting a regular 3.75 line like every other marvel property? (except of course X-men)

Doesn't look like it. Hopefully this won't become the new trend.

I would guess( and it is simply just that, a guess ) that they are doing the 2.5" line because of the spaceships. Even at the 3.75" scale the prices would be too expensive for a casual treat toy. Would be an expensive birthday or Christmas gift. So I would guess Hasbro is avoiding the gift option and giving us these. Much like the Sigma Six GI Joe's.. tiny figures equal big bad ass vehicles.
Much like when Kenner started the 3.75" it w as for the vehicles. The size of the day was 12" and a Millennium Falcon would need to be the size of the living room for a playset. They scaled it down. Same here, except now the reason is savings. Crude oil, that makes plastic, is at an all time high. Simple economics. Smaller groot, smaller ship... Smaller ship, less production cost...Less production cost means little Jimmy can get it when he cries and throws a tantrum in the toy aisle..... and we always say Hasbro is dumb. This is the reason they are a Fortune 500 company and a top 100 corporation. Let's support their capitalist greed and global destruction and buy some.of these Damn things this summer....... who's with me,huh?

I think that the focus of this line is the ships more than it is the figures. Like how Iron Man 3 had the assembling gimmick, this is only going to be with GotG.

If you want a cheap set of Guardians but look good, go for Minimates. The set looks great. Guardians of the Galaxy Minimates at Luke's Toy Store

And the 2.5" Guardians because I dont want to spend a lot of money making customs of them in 3.75" and if I buy the Milano and put them in there and place it with the Marvel Universe Collection the size difference will stop being a problem for me

Yeah, you are not the only one bud, I can't wait for these to come out, the ships look amazing and I'm hoping by some miracle they are the same size as the human alliance figs from transformers, got a ton of those guys that I love to bring out once in a while to mess around with them, these seem to have a decent sculpt for the scale, like Starcomm, anyone remember those???

I was planning on buying one Rocket Raccoon from this line and that BAF Groot. They'll be the only GoTG characters in my 3.75" collection. *sad*
Anyways, if anyone gets their hand on one of these figs, please post a photo for reference, thanks! |

these things are tiny, and the weapons are wayyyy too big, but they're pretty cool, and are pretty detailed for their size. don't pay more than 5-6 bucks though

They remind me of MASK and DINORIDER figures! I'd get them just to have more MASK drivers.
