Well Darkhawk was always a little bit cosmic since the amulet was revealed to be alien in origin pretty early on so even though he never had any space adventures until War of Kings he had that little connection. He has been in some other books than his own though like the West Coast Avengers, The Loners, Avengers Arena, and an early guest appearance in volume 2 of the Runaways. He has evolved from his original power-set though since he started out as like better Falcon from space but with some actual powers but in his latest appearances after learning how to use his powers from another like him (basically his evil doppelganger) now he's more like space Iron-Man with a suit that can switch through a variety of modes on a whim.

Yeah I read Darkhawk's original book as a kid, and didn't recall him ever winding up in space. That's all I meant by joining the cosmic community.
I felt the extension of his abilities was a nice improvement. Seeing as how he's on Earth and so are the Guardians at the moment, I'd love for him to pop his head into their series or Nova's. Not so long as Bendis is writing, mind you, since it's a pretty safe bet he's never heard of or read Darkhawk. Guy does zero research. Anyway! Yay toys. |

Darkhawk (and Sleepwalker) came into being at the time I really started to get into comics as a kid. I had some Silver Surfer comics that were sometime around then (might have been backissues), Spider-Man's In the Name of the Rose was my first Spidey series, my dad got me some Barry Allen issues of Flash (the stuff when he was awaiting trial for killing Reverse Flash) and some Batman stuff from the 80s, X-Men #1, Rise of the Midnight Sons (Morbius #1 was the first issue from that I got), New Mutants #100, and then it just kept going from there.

I will get Vance, Darkhawk & Angela, the rest I can live without.
I hope to get more characters from the original GotG team in a possible 2nd wave. |

Why are Darkhawk and Vance called "Masters of Mind?" Neither has any kind of mind-oriented power. Darkhawk has a space crystal that grants him super armor and Vance is just space Captain America. Cosmic Defenders or even just Space Heroes would've been way more appropriate.
As for Darkhawk, I got nothin'. |

The last thing I read with Vance in this getup was DnA's Guardians run and in those he was just a Captain America type deal from the future that would die if his suit were ruptured. From what I remember if he had any psychokinetic powers they were very minimal especially compared to the presence of Mantis on the team.

so it just dawned on me after reading the infinity war ... that adam warlock isn't in this wave , so there must be a 2nd wave in the works at least... or could be a singular figure but would still be with the wave right..

Infinity Gauntlet and Infinty War were the series that solidified my love for comics as a kid; Gauntlet was the catalyst. Keith Giffen is the only writer since Starlin that I felt like really "gets" Thanos, and can write him well.
Adam Warlock feels inevitable. If not in a Guardians wave (still would prefer Ayesha), then certainly in a 2018 Avengers wave. |

Wait a minute, you're right, Warlock isn't in the wave, nor is Death's Head II. What the hell?

If that is the case, why would they show figures that wouldn't be out until the Fall at SDCC? Was DCC running their reveal decision making?
