Bo, thank you for that^ It made my day. I wonder how his head would look with the hair painted black on a ML punisher body...
Dr. Karin, I don’t recall H20 takeing 4-6 out. I just assumed Lorry was a shitty parent. Didn’t they even mention Lumis and show paper clippings in reference to incidents from 4-6 in the beginning of the H20? And as far as him hunting her because she came on his porch, as was the original idea, I love it, the idea of someone targeting you for no reason is scarier than anything. But it would be awesome if the new Halloween ends with Michael, after all the killing and terror, confronts her on her porch, makes eye contact with her, and just stomps his feet, says “now were even” and runs off laughing into the night. That said. MBV is one of my favorite slashers of all time. Even enjoyed the remake. Hopefully, NECA will give us one in the future. We need a Harry Warden/The Miner figure. I mean...we got two Silent Night Deadly Night figures for crying out loud... |

Damn, Halloween sneak up on anyone else this year? So what were the best horror movies of 2018? I’m sure everyone’s going to sing the praises of a quiet place, but I honestly didn’t think that much of it... it was ok, but I doubt I’ll watch it again any time soon. Idid just buy the new puppet master movie on DVD, love those practical effect, FU CGI! When does the new, “forget all those previous sequels” Halloween drop?.... and is anyone else kind of pissed about it? I really liked the Halloween franchise, except of course 3, and resurrection. But the scrapping of thirty years of cannon to bring back Jamie Lee Curtis!?! And when the hell did she become Sarah Conner? I know the whole thorn thing was a bit off the rails, and yeah there were continuity issues but H4-H6 were never addressed in any of the sequels (h20, resurrection) then we got the zombie reboot, which I really like, but this new concept of movie franchises deciding which films are and are not cannon in a series is off putting to me. If they randomly just decided to do a follow up to Friday the 13th and just picked up after part 2 and erased all continuity would you not be upset? Anyway, had to start the season with a rant!

Speaking of Halloween, I just released my review of Halloween 5:
Besides this, the other movies in the franchise, and some Friday the 13th movies, I've also watched The Last Man on Earth, The Omega Man, Annabelle Creation, The Strangers 2, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Abominable Dr Phibes, House on Haunted Hill, The Shining, The Fog, and of course some Simpsons THoHs and Tales from the Crypt episodes.

All I'm going to say about Halloween until my review renders is 9/10!
Oh, and my Alamo Drafthouse did this for the movie: I also bought this Halloween book from them (and picked up the Frankenstein book at Target when I saw it): Review is up:

Question for the horror figure fans:: Is jason/final chapter figure (neca) the only one that comes with the Pamela voorhees tombstone?

So far the Part IV (Final Chapter) ultimate is the only way to get Pamela's tombstone, which from my memory is accurate as far as her tomb not showing up again. The Final Chapter Jason is one of their best on the QC side as well.

My Gonativetoys order arrived today, it just took them 2 days! Eat your heart out Super 7 and Amok Time Toys. The werewolf is a 3 piece resin model, not a poseable figure. Too bad, I would really like this style of werewolf in a 4" figure, but this will have to do for now.

Man, I was completely rearranging my detolfs today and reallized I never did pick up the Ultimate Freddy my Target had for months until they started their remodel. I have never seen him since.
Then again, none of my Targets haven restocked any of the Horror characters since Jan.

Halloween season is over, supply follows demand. You could try asking, if they had any left over, they could have gone into the back.

Nope, they don't keep any NECA figures in the back. A vendor comes in and stocks their shelves.

Came across something I didn't expect to see for several more months today:
Grandma Laurie is pretty awesome. Her posseability rocks and her weapon selection is great. My only complaint for the figure itself is she can't actually aim the hunting rifle. For the package, I don't like how they made the peg hanger an actual part of the box. Not only because it looks ugly, but also because 2 of the three my store had had them torn with part of the back of the box. I have no idea what NECA was going for there, but it isn't pretty. They also had Mothra (can't justify $28 on that tiny ass bug) and remake Jason. He looked cool, but there are other Jason's I need to get first.

I still can't believe they made remake Jason before VII.

Because it's just an update of a previously released figure, which they put out when the remake came out. Seeing as how they didnt need to sculpt anything probably made it an obvious choice.

Well NECA lost the license to make more F13 stuff due to the lawsuit, so you're never going to see a Part VII Jason now.
