I don't really see these things selling unless someone is a big Halo vehicle fan.

Agreed. I was/am much more interested in the larger scale vehicles, I could care less about yet another scale of figures and vehicles.
Pick one, stick with it.

Plus Mega Bloks has a similar line with diecast, and it doesn't seem to be moving.

They seem more designed to appeal to table-top gamers than anything else. They also remind me of the Star Wars Action Fleet sets, but Halo is no Star Wars (sorry to disappoint, Halo fans, but it's true).
