First of all, with Microman as one of Takara's big properties, it only makes sense that they'd end up giving the rights to their current "best bud" Hasbro. I do wonder how the old Micronaut fans feel about this decision, but personally I'm cool with it. It feels more natural this way, and gives Hasbro another strong toy-based property
It really all depends on how they handle it. The right to Micronauts has a pretty odd history. AGE (Marty Abrams from Mego) had it for years and only recently let it go. Takara had some involvement in the last few years either trying to get it or it did acquire it (it's been discussed in our yahoo group but I can't remember all the details.)
I'm pretty excited to see what they are going to do with it. I hope that the figures/vehicles still utilize the 5mm port for interchangeability. Chrome is a must.
But the fact that it is Hasbro at the helm at least gives me some hope that the quality will be there. I hope they collaborate a bit with Takara.
Ideally, I'd like the figures to fit in with my old figures and not look totally out of place.
