This should have been out for Xmas rush but it's still going to sell like crazy when it hits.

Do you think the Bounty Collection ones should work well with the Hot Toys figure?

I'm sceptical. How is it the render for the 6" scale figure (at just over 1") affords more detail than a 2"+ figurine? I feel it would have worked better as an accessory.
Curious to see what the production pieces look like. I've almost been tempted to dip my toe into BS on account of The Mandalorian (far too much invested in 3.75" to have contemplated it for the OT). Last edited by Otter; 12-12-2019 at 02:30 PM.. |

Too bad the Black Series version doesn't include his floating carriage. Would have preferred that over the frog or ball any day.
Still excited to see him coming as a solo figure. I thought for sure he would be a part of an exclusive pack as an accessory with fully beskar armored Mando... |

Nah. Disney was smart. When it comes to exploiting IP for merchandising, Disney doesn't halfarse it... If Baby Yoda leaked on the net early via packing lists or displayed at a toy fair, I don't think it would have had quite the OMG! effect. My wife, who couldn't care less about toys or starwars, watched the first episode, and was completely taken by the character, and told me to preorder her figures as soon as they are available... so now she'll have all the Baby Yoda stuff just in time for her b-day next year.

It's ok looking, not as good as I could be. Definitely going with the SH Figuarts version instead.

It doesn't look bad, and for $10 I'm getting it to go in the display. The figuarts one looks great too and has more options, so I'll have both.

Looks OK ... for the price & I did pre-order one - but NO WAY will this Black Series Child be able to actually "Hold" the little soup cup to recreate the scene from the show. The shoulder articulation is not there, especially with no butterfly joint. I am now VERY glad I pre-ordered the SH Figuarts Child version, I think it has a better shot of accomplishing this simple soupy task.

What’s that rectangle supposed to be? Chunk of plastic to justify the price?
