Really love the phantom menace set. I’m one of the rare ones that has obi-wan and mail so I need these naturally. The comm tech would be icing.
The Walmart exclusives give me heart burn. I had my mando and grogu 2-pack and incinerator troopers canceled. I did get the mando sets later but the trooper is done and gone. Total BS on Walmart crap exclusives. The clone wars vintage are flipping gorgeous. |

Plus why give Bezos more money? He's just gonna spend it on mansions for his girlfriend

Not digging that the Best Buy figures are $25 a piece for simple repaints/repacks. The new head on Qui Gon doesn't even look all that new, it just looks like the previous head (but they did away with the separate eye sculpting) so it's still too wide.
Hey General Lando is happening though so that's cool.

Hasbro explicitly marketed it as a Star Wars + Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary Fan First Friday, so I think they're saying they were hoping for figures from Indiana Jones or Willow or some other Lucasfilm production (I don't know, Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters?) other than Star Wars.

But yeah, the so-called 50th anniversary is simply because it was 50 years ago this year that George's first theatrical film THX-1138 came out. Would be cool to get some kind of merchandise specifically paying tribute to the actual 50 year old film (like a Funko Pop or whatever). |

Looks like they cheaped out again and omitted the alternate left hand that Qui-Gon originally came with. I would have liked a commemorative Episode I Mace to have come with a blue lightsaber blade, also...

Until the release of the Willow series on Disney+ or the next Indiana Jones movie, I wouldn't expect to see any figures from those brands. Hasbro would need to get the likeness rights of the actors and they would want to wait until there was a film/series release so there would be more interest in figures. |

Lucasfilm produced both Indiana Jones and Willow and, as far as I can tell, both are now owned by Disney. But I don't think that Hasbro automatically gets to make figures of either property since they make Star Wars figures.

I would assume that disney owning those franchises gives hasbro an advantage innlanding the license. Idk who has them and for what scale at this point

When I saw the banner I assumed it was an individually packed TBS Paploo.
Walmart exclusives are likely to be painful to get in Australia (got Incinerator from Target, but missed Din) and, being OT, I can see myself paying through the nose for these on ebay. Grr... |

Wait a second....
Anybody else notice the Elite Squad Clone Trooper is on the new body, except for the legs which are the old body's? I guess they're trying to resolve people's complaints about the knee joints on the new Clone body. |

Ha ha!
Just realised that the image on the cardback isn't even Paploo. (I am aware that it's the same as the vintage cardback... I only just learnt about the Snaggletooth cardback last year, too ) |
