Rubbery/plasticky warped nacelles ruined many an otherwise nice model. I still remember the 45-degree bend my Micromachines Reliant had. And it's the reason I passed on all the more recent Hot Wheels ones. (that, and it seems the plastic bits were already yellowed from the factory)
Any new iteration better have rock-hard plastic for the nacelles and pylons. |

i have micro machine star destoyers that have gone limpdick lol. the front of the ship had bent up. I have some ships with warped saucer sections. But the five hot wheels brand ships they put out were such better quality, from my experience.

Leading the product offering from Hasbro will be a line of premium KRE-O STAR TREK building sets featuring fantastical spaceships and legendary characters from the franchise. The KRE-O STAR TREK sets will offer high-quality KRE-O bricks as well as new KREON figures in the likeness of popular characters. Among its additional new play experiences, Hasbro will also offer robust line of roleplay toys for kids and fans to act out the intergalactic saga as well as select new figures.

I'm curious to see what all roleplay items they'll be making, as well as the "select new figures". Makes me think they'll be dong a very small line of action figures, and knowing Hasbro, they'll probably be 3-3/4" scaled. Hopefully we'll get a look at their offerings from NYCC this year. I would say SDCC, but that might be a bit to early for them to show things off.
