Images of the Vader is limited separately from the anniversary pack... please someone tell me that's a sign they will release him individually.

So pleased with the Cyclops/Dark Phoenix two pack. I hope this comes out sooner rather than later. I love the effect accessory DP comes with and the new head sculpt is awesome. I know people complained about them, but I do wish she still had the heeled boots since that was accurate to the comics. However, that is just a minor nitpick from such an incredible looking two pack.

Darth Vader still seems to have sad eyes in some of these shots.

Those display models look so good, it's such a shame that the retail products are such bad quality.

2 different star-lord helmet was displayed. Anyone here knows if they are two different products, or 1 is the prototype, another the intended finished product?

Yeah, how can someone that hasn't even hit stores yet be sold out? Did they all just magically show up at TRU and Target on Sat?
EDIT: BBTS has them up for preorder. To be honest, I'm kind of tempted to cancel my Figuarts preorders and just go for these guys...

It's a shame these classic Star Wars packs aren't collector friendly. Will these guys be seeing general release, or are they strictly limited to the special packaging release?

Really upset with Hasbro's decision to short pack R2 and Han in the case distribution. Luke, Leia, and Ben will all be two per case even though those figures are all relatively new and not too hard to get. Han and R2 though are some of the oldest figures in this line and both are harder to come by, especially R2. Who the hell is in charge of picking the case distribution that they always make the clearly more desired figures the rarest?

From the look of things they will see a general retail release but it will be on these Kenner style cards and not in the regular Black Series boxes. All of the first wave figures are just re-releases though so they've been sold in the boxes before

Death Trooper, Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron appear to be all of the Star Wars helmet replicas planned for 2017.

The Death Trooper and Kylo Ren helmets were actually just cheaper voice changer masks that have already been released. The only one of those that you mentioned that's actually a helmet replica is Poe Dameron's. They already released a Kylo Ren helmet replica back in 2015.

Yeah, I'm sure that the purpose of displaying stuff released previously is to raise awareness and attract new business -- that, and to make the displays seem more 'full' by 'padding' them...
It would be interesting to see the results of that Star Wars customer survey Hasbro posted last fall. One of the questions had to do with helmet replicas: "Which would you like most to see in the future?" Given the growing Mandalorian theme seen recently in Star Wars Rebels, I could easily imagine Sabine's helmet popping up at SDCC. I'll keep gunning for a good Vader helmet that doesn't cost a pile... I'm actually way interested in the TRU A-Force Series 'cause I totally dig Elsa Bloodstone (great example of Hasbro's habit of occasionally sneaking a super-obscure character into a wave) and I know my girlfriend is going to want that female Loki.
I'm confused about the A-Force Series, however...I assume that they're going to be TRU-exclusive, but they're going to be released separately, right (hence "series")? They're not going to be one big crazy box set, are they? Also, any release date on it yet? Last edited by Dolemite; 02-21-2017 at 08:30 AM.. |
