Though Hasbro Marvel Legends do occasionally suffer from somewhat gummy joints, in my general experience, they've felt quite sturdy, and not as fragile as ToyBiz MLs. I think if you're looking to get back into MLs, pick up some of the ones that interest you and see how you like them.

Really happy to see that they changed the colors of the Apocalypse BAF since SDCC. I was hoping for more classic colors and these look perfect.

So 2 questions, is the Defenders set 3.75 or 6 inch? Since that JJ is the same look as the 3.75 one and the X-Men cards, are they reissuing them? Cause I have the entire set of them :P

No, those were used as a graphic/game thing to lead into the X-wave reveals.

The Defenders set is 6 inch. The Daredevil is the same as the one they released in the Hobgoblin wave, just with the darker red/lighter red swapped places, the Iron Fist is basically the same as we got in the Dormammu wave but with not shirt, and Luke is quite similar to the one in the SDCC 2013 Thunderbolts set, but with blue pants this time.

They can do Domino right as a toy at least (giving you the Stinkeye Deadpool 2).

Um... the face on that Jim Lee Psylocke is REALLY Asian. Like more Asian than she's ever been drawn. I mean, she IS Asian, so... I donno. LOL.
I think I'll just slap the unmasked Silk head on that body. |

Keep on churning out those Jim Lee X-Men. I only recently decided I needed a display to tribute one of my favourite shows growing up and I only really need a Jean Grey, Psylocke and Jubilee now. The previous Jean and the Dark Phoenix double pack are both impossible to get for anything less than an extortionate price here so hopefully a new Jean is on the way soon. Also, I may not have to succumb to the Mezco Wolverine with this legends bad boy on the horizon.

There are no Asian Brits?
...Elizabeth's psyche was transferred into the body of an Asian woman (Kwannon). |

Nevertheless, just because her mind was put into the body of an Asian doesn't just make her Asian.

...again, there are no Asian Brits?? Seems that since her psyche was transferred into Kwannon, and she remains Elizabeth, she is actually 'Asian' and 'British'...like many other 'Asian Brits'...

Hasbro has come a looooong way since getting the Marvel license! Tons of the last few reveals have tempted me. So far I've resisted most, but barely. The only Marvel Legends I currently own are 6" Carnage, Venom, pizza Spidey, and brown suit wolverine (I HATE the yellow suit!).
Tons of these I'm digging. I can't go to my local Walmart or target without drooling over the vol 2 GOTG, XMEN, and now they add these? May Odin the Allfather grant me strength to resist!

She is (due to the mind swap) ethnically Asian. It would only make sense for that to be represented in the figure. Plus, as mentioned, British and Asian aren't mutually exclusive.

Here in Britain the term Asian is someone from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Just so you know. Someone of Far Eastern heritage is simply known as Chinese. Even if you are Korean or Japanese Or Thai, on official UK documents like the national census there is one race box that simply says, Chinese. A slightly more modern version seen on applications to various things is sometimes they will put Oriental instead of Chinese.
Also, our Asians are also known as black, alongside people of African or Caribbean heritage. Those referred to as African American, here would be known as West Indian in most cases. Hope that clears up any doubt that most likely didn't even exist and that no one even inquired about. I apologise as there is absolutely zero news for Marvel in my scale as HASBRO has completely dropped the ball on half Marvel collectors. Wish they had more and I wasn't typing about our semi racist UK ethnic group labels.

The level of neglect shown to your scale is criminal. If it's any consolation, six inch Marvel 'canon' figures will eventually trail off giving way to the slow creeping death that is the the far-more-commercially-recognizable 'MCU-TOY.' Yes, I'm blaming the expanding MCU budget for the ruination of the 3.75" figs and my prognostication of the demise of comic canon figs within the 6" line is founded on the selfsame theory, which is in-turn...built completely on sand. I have no proof, nor evidence, but in this new-age and climate those considerations have become totally irrelevant. Wild conjecture, hackneyed and unsupportable stances now rule the day...and I'm running with it. Toy-stradamus has spoken and I see doom...Doom...DOOM, I TELL THEE! |

Wish they had more and I wasn't typing about our semi racist UK ethnic group labels. Firstly, the census, as in most English speaking countries, is self completion, so anyone can put themselves down as whatever ethnicity they identify with. Secondly, the ethnicity question is broken down into sections - are you white, mixed, Asian or black? Beyond that you get a few further options, so under Asian you can select Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Chinese or other. Im pretty sure last time I applied for a passport or driving license it was the same so I think you're a few decades out of date!

I just realized that the 90s Wolverine has his mouth in a gritted teeth position. God I love the 90s.
