Yeah, same...I'll try three issues, if I don't really get into it by then, I'll drop it

I have to agree with this statement. I loved the pacing of this first issue and the monologue from Hawkeye throughout. As long as this type of writing is consistent I'll stick with it. The artwork really matched the tone of the story too, I thought. I love the simplicity of the cover too.

i generally like hawkeye also, but i still dont like his new costume. I miss the hawkeye/ mockingbird teamups though(a neat parallel to green arrow/black canary), too bad they split up a long while back. If this series makes it past issue 12, ill pick up the trades when theyre cheap.

Speaking Of Hawkeye, I just picked up and read the first Hawkeye Miniseries from 82-83'...
It was pretty cool, except I couldnt figure out at the ending did Hawkeye and Mockingbird just marry?

Well they were married for some time before she "died" i believe. She got replaced by a Skrull for years.

I picked it up, haven't read it yet. The first issue was pretty entertaining. Hopefully the second one is just as good.

Issue #2 was fantastic! I really like where this is going. This comic is just beautiful to look at. The only downfall is the lack of Pizza-Dog.

Yeah, I dig the art, and the way they lay this book out...

Wow, I can't believe how good issue number 2 was. It was better than the first issue and I liked that story too. I guess I'll be on board for the run if this is the quality I can continue to expect.
I really like the style of art they chose to represent this book. It definitely accentuates the tone Fraction is delivering with his stories.

Issue #3 was a perfect 10/10 for me.
Anyone who is tired of long drawn out stories that take 10 issues or so to complete or require multiple book tie in's...bring your ass over to Fraction's Hawkeye for self contained stories. I don't care if you loath his Iron Man or Thor or whatever, he is doing THIS book perfectly! Outside of Daredevil and Uncanny X-Force (which ends in December) this is the best book being written on a per issue basis. It's that damn good.

Hawkguy!! (Those reading this series know I intentionally misspelled that).
#4&5 told another amazing tale of the life of Clint when he's not doing Avenger things. I know people love Daredevil, but I'm sorry, this is just not only my favorite comic out right now, but I believe it deserves the best new series award hands down. What a difference the right creative team can have on a character that has struggled to sell in the past and tends to not be as appealing as his super powered teammates. Seriously, Bro. Why aren't you reading this yet, Bro?

I don't really follow any of the Avengers character, but how come Hawk is with Spider-Woman and not MB? I was kind of surprise by that.

Divorced. MB knows about him and SW, and doesn't like it, but an ex is an ex. It's a very convoluted reasoning for why they got divorced too, since apparently it was the skrull imposter that was revealed during secret invasion that was going to be divorced from Hawkeye, so it's technically not the real MB's fault. But they decided to remain unmarried, and now he's dating SW.

Hawkeye is probably Marvel's best solo, and second best of all the new books after All new X-Men. Defenders could be equally as good though.
