I'm kind of on the fence about buying a Batman: Arkham Origins Collectors Joker Statue. Do you think it's worth it? I'm only going to buy the statue itself, not the game or anything. I'm a huge fan of the Joker, but... some people are saying this is cheaply made and the LED lights don't work well, while some say it's awesome and the best collectible ever. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I'm not a statue/bust collector, but I can at least offer some general advice for buying higher-end items.
1. Read and/or watch as many reviews on it as possible. Pay close attention to potential issues and feature sets (ignore the "it's awesome!"/"it sucks!" commentaries). 2. If available, buy it locally so you can inspect it yourself before purchase. 3. Buy from a reputable source (either local or online) with a fair return/exchange policy. Beyond that, it's really your call. If you're into statues and Joker, sounds like a win-win to me. Of course if you do end up pulling the trigger, I hope we'll see a review of it from you in our Reviews/Feedback forum.

I would recommend you find it from a place that will allow you to return it without question if there is an issue. Sounds like you already know that there is a potential that the LED lights won't work, and you want to make sure you're covered. If you're going to buy it, check places like Amazon or eBay (if you pay through PayPal) where the only reason you need to have to return something is, "I'm not happy with it."

that sounds like GREAT advice to me from wiser arkers than myself mate.
Buy it, enjoy it, keep it. Buy it, hate it, return it. No risk no reward. |

Thanks guys. I don't think I can find it anywhere by me, but I'll check online. I probably won't want to return it even if it is cheap and broken, I get attached to certain things easily.

I think most of us know the feeling.
Let us know how it goes.

The exclusive edition game is about $150 if you can find it at retail. But if you want the statue itself I've seen it selling between $35-100 on Ebay. A local collector is actually selling 1, and has it on hold for me, I'm going to get it, and thinking I might be able to break the joker off, and replace him with 1 of my Deadpool figures, and use it as an awesome Dio piece. Maybe not what you wanted to hear, lol. But I love the piece, just not the joker as much,
