A few months ago I bought the new Civil War 3.75 inch Captain America with cycle. Mine has the same problem a guess a lot of figures have: the "C- joint" that holds his shield on his wrist is a bit to small- a small tap causes the shield to fall off. I was wondering if anyone figured out a way to fix it.
I noticed the shield from the 3.75 inch Age of Ultron (5 POA) Cap fits the civil war one perfectly, but the post that attaches the shield to his back is to big to fit civil war Cap, so I can't just swap the handles. I still want to be able to take the shield on and off easily, so I don't want to wrap the whole handle with wire or something.I tried adding duct tape to extend the "C". but it didn't help. Anyone have a possible solution? It's kind of hard for Cap to fight Hydra when his shield keeps falling off. |

If you are going to commit that shield to the figure, you could wrap a piece of fine grit sandpaper around the post and rotate it to evenly sand down the post until it fits.

I got some magnetic pushpins from office max, took the magnets out and drilled holes into the figures wrist and back to put them in. Then cut the C clip off and put a magnet on the shield. It worked pretty well. It does not attach to the writs as well as I would like, there is a little wobble to it, but it is 10x better than the C clip ever was and makes for a pretty cool play feature.

I didn't try fitting the shield of mine yet, just on his back. I will posing him like this no problem for me but thanks for the tip.
I'm going to make a small repaint on mine. The chin strap is partially covered with flesh tone on the chin area. Ye I'm a bit picky with the paint apps specially on the head. I got mine from China so I couldn't choose, and also forgot to ask to select one without major things. Anyway its something easy just have to match the color. |

The paint I put over the magnets has chipped a little from so much use. A lot of people complain about his giant hands, but if his wrists were thinner like most figures this scale, this would not work at all. I did this to my Sam Wilson Captain America too as he has the same arms.
