Even after Hot Toys started making engineering improvements and made the full Mark XLIII figure fit inside, I was still not sold on this figure. The paint and detail just felt so drab and underwhelming compared to King Arts, Sentinel and all the other companies doing Iron Man figures, but this latest update totally won me over. Hulkbuster looks so good now, I pre-order as soon as the new Backstage photos were posted.

Just exceptional. The journey from prototype images to final product show a profound focus on improving the engineering and design to arrive at this masterpiece. I've been collecting high-end figures for decades, and I don't feel the "wow" factor too often anymore, but this has done it.
It has indeed been a long wait, but it's no exaggeration to say this will be the most ambitious Hot Toys figure ever released--I'll even tentatively suggest the most brilliantly-engineered figure ever created. Looking forward to this being the centerpiece of my HT IM collection. |

Looks like they've made some significant changes from their first proto. The colors pop more, there's less battle damage, and the obvious of inserting mark 46 inside. I like the improvements so far. Still can't afford it or have any kind of space to put him, but he still looks great!
