Ok, so I found these the other day all I saw was the Triceratops and I held off but today they were on sale and I had to pull the trigger on the Apatosaurus.
Apparently the story is about them harnessing up dinos and looking for crystals wonder where that came from? Imaginext Apatosaurus - Fisher Price Toys - Imaginext I can't wait to get more, the urge to repaint was there but something just clicks with these guys. Some very similar themes run within these new armors and the old. Get to Target, I have only seen this guy, Triceratops, Pteradon, non of the smaller class unfortunately. There are s few differences the rope on mine is black and all the armor and rocks are transparent. Here iare a couple of pictures from a site don't know the guy but credit to him they are from Toy Fair. |

wow. Total rip. I loved Dino-Riders. These look too cartoony for my taste, otherwise I might consider them. But they do look cool.

Finally have seen the rest of the line.
Oddly the Target I went to this time didn't have the Triceratops(what I was thinking about getting) or the Pteradactyl, but had the rest of the line. The T-Rex which looks awesome, Apatosaurus, Raptor, and Ankylosaurs. The bad guys only have the Raptors and the T-Rex as usual the baddies are drastically out numbered. 3 down only the T-Rex, Pteradactyl, and Triceratops left. I will post reviews later, even though no one else has any intent on buying them ha. The large DC figures they have are tempting, the Mr. Freeze has a clear polar bear and the penguin has a robotic penguin cannon, don't really want the figures just the 2 neat accessories. |

I saw these in person and you know what, they are pretty fu**ing awesome. DinoRiders was one of my favorite lines as a kid. Definitely Dinousaurs too (for those who remember that) although that was when I was real young. I still think they're just a little too pre-shcool for me. If I had kids I would be all over this though. lol Anyway to justify it, right?
Just curious, jestermon, are you buying these for yourself or your kids? Not passing judgement dude, just wondering. |

Me, have them on my shelf, never realized how neat some of their other lines are as well.
Wirh all the other DC stuff I figured someone else picked these up too. http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?...d_sf&pid=55448 http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?...d_sf&pid=55450 The green latern base is very neat, even though it's a repaint of their space base. I didn't get it, but they also had this funky ninja glider thing with dragon/foo dog looking missiles. Imaginext Ninja Glider - Fisher Price Toys - Imaginext Apparently the Dinos and ninjas are their new lines. Also, I realized the new Hasbro "Heroes" lines are total Imaginext rip offs, first Lego now Imaginext under the old Funskool line they started the heroes under. Hasbro must have been losing money in the bloks section and in the Imaginext isle. I still have my DD triceratops and afro caveman, but not the red saddle thing. These look cool, saw a big case display at Target. Imaginext is kicking ass. Dig the armor too. Wish we could have dino skeletons...dino riders were cool!

My 5-year-old loves this line. Might get the Apatosaurus or T-Rex for her for Christmas.

It's also taking a lot of fatherly restraint to keep my inner toy collector from buying all of them at once so she can have "a complete set".

okay, Target has a sell this week on Imaginext B1G1half off, and so I got that Samurai Castle I've been wanting, and the Mega T-Rex for a total of $72, I know that in a few days that the T-Rex will be on BLACK FRIDAY sell at about 2 stores, but why fight the crowds?

For anyone actually getting these, there is a new Dinorider:
Raptor with rider, Wal-Mart had today, didn't ring up, I thought it was $10.88, but after waiting for 5 minutes of them searching, they rang-it-up at $6.99, so I'm not sure if that IS the price. I thought there WAS a green raptor, but this was YELLOW and had the Komodo Dragon head fins.

Yeah got him at one Wal-Mart there is also a jet Stego coming out seen it on the website of all places.
I think they tried to make this raptor look like the Dilophosaurus from JP almost. I was trying to think if it's the same size as the other then realized it's the next size up from the basic. Imaginext® Stegosaurus Surprised they had something new on their actual site. My only regret is never finding the K-Mart exclusive set marked down, I still am not interested in the atv and basic mech though, the designs look too much like the previous dino line and not like the new one. I told them they were $9.99 Last edited by jestermon; 01-11-2013 at 09:55 PM.. |

So far, they recolored those, retooled a bit, and new exo-frames. I saw this at Target yesterday...more repacking... Raptor, Doc, and Exo-Suit, (but no Pteradactyl)

I've seen a few repacks from them now. But who says you can only have one Raptor or one Stego? Raptors were known to hunt in small packs and Stegos were practically herd animals.
Just got my daughter her 3rd small dino/figure set and set got the larger Pteranodon for Christmas. Her little sister prefers them to be armor-less, which I guess is a good thing if she's interested in just the dinosaurs themselves. Not so much if she just likes taking things apart.

i must have worded it wrong. what i mean is that they could do so many different dinosaurs and they are going back to dinosaurs they have already done. the new raptor (not the different color one as they have been doing that since the line was created) is the frilled dinosaur which i think is not even considered a raptor. and the stego looks like a smaller version kind of like the old ones...
Also, the frilled one is closer to a Jurassic Park-style "Dilophosaurus" than either the real dinosaur or a Raptor. Especially now that scientist theorize that dromaeosaurs (like Raptors) had feathers and looked very different from the way they were portrayed in 1993. But for the most part, Imaginext is pretty accurate for a dinosaur toyline. The only ones I know that are more accurate are the newer JP toys and Dinosaur Train.
