$10.99 on sale at Target, haven't seen them at WM yet, don't even know why I try anymore except hopefully to use my discount.
Figure: Same articulation and build as the other figure, but has ninja mask instead of smirking I'm a cool guy face. He comes with creepy WW2 gas maskish headgear, I though it was the same sculpt as the other guys at first but it's not. He comes with a hunk of Volcanium and a bad a** super hammer, while made to fit the mining story line that thing is for smashing dino riders.. He can hold the hammer well although the headgear limits the movement of the hammer of course. He can't double hand the hammer not due to articulation but it has these little protrusions on the top, you can fake it though. |

Dino Tech Gear:
The raptor's harness is all one large piece it's kind of hard to remove since you have to get the right angle to slide over the head after popping it off the from the "ribs" where it holds on by friction, it's a sturdy hold though. There are no long range weapons here just a carry basket and what I can only assume is a mining claw, or in my view some kind of cloaca grabber or leg pincer (it does open slightly) to attack the Apatosaurus to equal the odds, since the T-rex and Raptors are greatly out numbered. The basket has sculpted texture which makes it seem more realistic than just being flat, lots of other cool tech detail as well, the odd thing is that the control section has no detailed control details like the Ankylosaurus or Apatosaurus, maybe they are feuding over their inferior sculpted equipment. The hammer and volcanium fit into the basket which is very neat. He also includes the pimped out "brain box", his covers his eyes like blinders instead of having holes or red sunglasses like the T-Rex, again if they are mining maybe these are some kind of eye covers to prevent dust in the eyes. |

Dino:
This guy was everything I was wanting since Dino Riders the Deinonychus was cool then Raptors got cooler in Jurassic Park. But had a few surprises, the tail is jointed, I though it was a solid piece, and the mouth opens both featurs aren't mentioned anywhere else. Imaginext seems to leave out some features on their toy instructions which is kind of odd not to mention things that you put into the design of your toys. Like the glider storage for the Apatosaurus. It also has pebbled flecks mixed in but his are much darker and harder to see, the colors make him look "bad" compared to the other dinos. The eye paint is nice on most figures but 1 eye seems to always be better than the other, the yellow is hit and miss around the belly. When I touched up the one eye I relaized the face was kind of asymmetrical, it was obvious on the Apatosaurus. The Raptor also has 2 distinct eyes and face details which makes the toy seem more unique. Also his large feet make him balance very well and the arms and leg rotation allow for a few different poses. |

Gured' Up:
Well, I was amazed that even with all the gear on and the figure and his accessories the Raptor still stands very well. One problem is that with the "Brain Box" on the dino head is hard to open, you kind of have to wedge it under the red control station to keep it open. Aside from that and the kind of lame claw and no actual guns, heck even side mounted rotating "mining" drills would be neat. Definately, going to be tempted to make some new weapons for the others I plan on getting. But the hammer is very neat and imposing. Wish the armor was the same colors as the T-Rex to make them more uniform. |

your reviews are so cool and in depth. there are also tons of pictures. I consider the Raptor an army builder. I have an army of these Raptors and greedily need more. I just wish the basket was more secure because the volcanium can slide out from the rear since there is no railing. I don't know what to make of the claw. It can't really do much in my opinion.
